He should turn down the draft invite now so we don't have another Brady Quinn moment.
I really wouldn't see Shanahan taking him anyway. Does'nt he like a more mobile qb anyway?

I'm not gonna lie, I'm still upset at Clausen and Tate for bolting. Say what you want about stock being high etc etc...they could have really done something this year. Jimmy came to ND to return them do glory, win a nat'l title. Finish the job man-at least give it a shot. I ain't over it...what does it have to do with Jimmy getting drafted, I dunno? I guess deep down if he slips I can think, ha-there so much for stock...
Sorry I've been holding that in for awhileI feel better, if I get blasted for not being 'supportive' so be it.
with Weis getting whacked, there was no reason for Clausen to come back....to learn a new system that he will never see or use in the NFL? Tate risked losing some draft position by returning; maybe he would have improved his draft status, but there was bigger risk for his draft status to drop. CLausen might have come back if Weis stayed. but once Weis was shittcanned, you knew Clausen was gone.....and so did the ppl that fired Weis

I think he wants a QB that can roll out and throw on the run. Not a scrambler. Jimmy can actually do that.
JC is never going to be anything but a traveling backup his entire career any way you look at it...so it really doesn't matter what team picks him up...
Obviously sarcasm I hope.
Not at all, I just think he is going to get ran through in the NFL. He is never going to have the chance to just throw it up to Tate in the corner of the end zone and have him go up and get it. He wont have a 5 yard cushion to throw into either. The speed in the NFL is going to be too much for him to handle. He cant go through his progressions quick enough to throw it when he has to and will be late on most every throw. BQ has the same problem and is proves it every Sunday... Both were good college QB's, but never will amount to anything in the NFL.

Clausen did a fine job on the 13 deep out passes he threw. Eleven of them were on target (on target being defined as landing within the catching frame of the receiver) and seven ended up being completed. He was also 2-for-2 on the comeback route -- which is a close cousin of the deep out -- so he was on the money on 13 out of 15 of the vertical outside routes.
