They purposely put it there to be a rather agnostic place in the South. It's not like Canton or Cooperstown are meccas of their sport.

really, nobody comes to south bend for the cfb hof, you go there to watch the Irish. and if you want a lesson on cfb hof, go look at the Irish trophy case.
i went to the cfb hof the first time i went to south bend and it was seriously dead, nobody was even at the front desk welcoming people in?
It may do better in atlanta because it doesnt have a historic university overshadowing it, so its not really that big of a deal to me.
South Bend is where you go to watch the Greatest College Football team in the land, not to look at old jerseys and junk.

Actually I should have posted when are they closing the one here down? I saw when the new one is supposed to open. Was thinking of going there when we go to the spring game and wanted make sure it wasn't closed. Google search didn't give a date of it closing in SB.
