Like it so far... I'll prob. get the blu ray... Any good program like this on history that doesn't totally go off the rails is what I usually get into...

not the biggest H&M buff, but from what I know it seems fairly accurate thus far,...

I like it. Fairly accurate with a little bit of Hollywood.

Very interesting string of events back in those days. Damn, looks like they shot people just for the helluva it. Looking forward the finale tonight.

Hokey? It takes place among mountain folk just after the Civil War doesn't it? Ever hear how those folk spoke and acted?

Besides, it's time to redo the Molly McGuires'.

There's a rumor floating around that Jim Vance Hatfield and our very own Old Man Mike are, indeed, one in the same.

I've watched Part 1 and 2, and will watch Part 3 tonight. I like it. They really do seem to be trying to keep to the historical facts while throwing in just a bit of Hollywood into the mix. It's been very entertaining.

I have it on DVR and I just finished watching Part One, and I enjoyed it. I can't wait to watch the next one.

They seemed to just add random people so to add to the body count last night... eh

It will be interesting to see how they portray the famed "Midnight Massacre" tonight.

I heard this thing is setting basic cable records... impressive for the history channel...

anyone know what the next topic HC is considering for their next series (no doubt they will make others with the numbers they are getting)

I've also been looking forward to the next American Film Co's movies... The Arsenal, a film about John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry, and Midnight Riders about Paul Revere... the first film The Conspirator was pretty good.

My votes are for The Molly Mcguires, The Black Donnellys, and the legend of Brushy Bill. Maybe the Golden Knights, too.

Knights of the Golden Cirlce would be a good one for sure... though little real info is out there to work off of... The Molly Mcguires would be a great one too... well done.

Terry, with the Donnellys are you talking about the series or in Canada in the 19th century? The Hibernian Rifles and the best ever, The Fenian Brotherhood, especially the leaders escape from Australia and their invasion of Canada. I have a buddy who is right in the middle of historica research of their activities, and they are finding now that he Fenian's enlisted over 1000 freed slaves in their endevour, which would turn history on its ear in several aspects.

And Acamp it is surprising what is coming up about the Knights through other ancillary research.

Yeah, I am getting tired of seeing monster crocks coughing up ufo's while fishermen sit on newly restored Queen Anne rockers fishing for deadly catches on the Ice Roads of the great northern tundra. He11, if that's all I wanted I could club baby polar bears on the ice floes with Acamp and sit around singing, "Kumbayah!"

Also, last night I watched part II and was impressed at the production and what I assume was the authentic recreation of clothing, weaponry, and speakin' skeels.
