Did anyone else notice during the game yesterday that Hammond took every possible opportunity to remind the world that we had dropped 7 straight to BC. It seemed like every other minute he was repeating the same damn thing over and over again. I wish I would have recorded it so I could go back and count all the times he said it.

There has to be something that can be done, I don't know a single ND fan that likes the commentary. How do these two guys still have a job? I'm not asking for some ND homer who makes us look stupid, just someone who is a ND fan/alum who will call a good game and not be a dick!

Pat Hayden was a Rhodes Scholar and his education seems to be superior to many making comments on this forum. He has always been complimentary to ND and its program. Hammond makes a comment that is true, and was highlighted all week. Sooooo??? And how this really makes a difference in the overall picture of ND football escapes me.

It's painfully obvious that neither of these guys are ND fans. The guys assigned to cover every ND home game. They suck, they mix up players names, seem to love when the opponent does well, and generally are a bad representation of the Irish on national TV. You would think, with ND paying so much the rights to the games, they would want someone pro-ND in there. I'd rather have Mark May than those two jackrags.

I dont know if anyone else on here will get this reference but on Sabado Gigante, there is a guy who does horroscopes named Walter Mercado who looks like Tom Hammond.

Who cares how smart he is. He cant be that smart evidently he cant even read a broucher cause he sure as hell dont know our players. If we cant have a nd affiliated person(s) we should at least have someone that knows who are players are. This guy is a tool

No one said Hammond's comments weren't true but he was beating a dead dog. There was a lot more going on with the game and even the rivalry as a whole that he could have commented on but he kept going back to the 7 game losing streak every 5 effing minutes.

This may be a little long winded but I will start by saying for the second time I have sent a personal e mail to NBC reminding them of the lousy presentation of these two so called football analysts. I recommend that if you are so inclined that you all do the same but I will only speak for myself. My point is this- I watch the game and listen to Cruiqi/Pinkett but this weekend I was at a friends house and didnt want to ask to do that. While we are watching the game my buddy a former college lineman says to me whats the deal with the slant to the opponent like they were the home team. He doesnt watch Notre Dame football very much ( Fla St ). I smiled and said you just made my day. He says back to me its not only about comments ( words ) but the intonence ( excitement ) of a play for BC. It was like they were actually pulling for Notre Dame to lose. I said "really you can get that"- he says man I think so and whats the deal there did they piss someone off? I chuckled something like guess I'm used to it. I hope my batteries hold up next week when I can once again listen to a better broadcast. If not the TV is on mute.You ought'a let NBC know-I did for the second time.

Neutrality would be good.

That said, the words to the alma mater scrolled at the bottom of the screen in post game. First time I have ever noticed that. A bit pretentious for sure. No wonder people hate us.

Hammond looks like he wears mascara. Since I haven't been able to hear any commentary all year, I can't say much about it. Hammond hasn't bothered me in the past. Hayden seems to get confused often, but they are commen 'taters and I am a deer on a keyboard.
