My nephew has just returned to US soil after a tour in Afghanistan. He is back at Fort Riley and will be home w the rest of our family for a St. Paddys Day celebration next month. I'm attaching a video that was made of his platoon in which he makes a couple of cameos. He graduated from West Point in 2010 and continues to serve his country proudly. I can't thank him or any other member of the military (past or present, some of who post regularly here) enough for their service. If you are active or previously active member of any of the branches of the service, please post here so that we may thank you publicly (as far as the internet allows for that). God Bless our Military and God Bless the United States of America.

Give your nephew a very big thank you from me and my family. A few years ago, I finally got around to asking a man I'd known all my life what he'd done in WWII. I knew he'd fought in Europe after D-Day, but never realized he'd been a Ranger and jumped in the night before to assault shore batteries. I just told him how much I admired him and appreciated what he'd done. He cried. I wouldn't take anything for that moment and I'm so glad I did it before he passed away. Thanks to all of you who've served.

I was stationed in Millington for 3 years in the early 90s. That place sucked. The only good thing is that it's close to Memphis.

Thankfully we continue to find great young men like your nephew.

Obviously he's exceptional being that he chose the Army over those other services :)
