It's sad that I'm more excited for this news than any of the transfers or commitments. A new OC is what can, possibly, maximize that talent. Here's to hoping they get it right.

I'll also say that I hope Parker does very well at Troy. I've said it numerous times that he's always struck me as a very sincere and likeable guy. I wish him the utmost success in the future. Just very glad it won't be calling plays for the 2024 offense.

I saw the headline on ESPN and I don't have my glasses on (F getting old). I had to re-read it several times to make sure what I was seeing was accurate. I thought someone had gotten fired or decommitted at first. I'm still not sure I believe what I've read.

I wonder if the transfer portal would look any different if this news was announced after the Stanford game instead of now...

I actually think he can do well as a HC as I can see him being a great motivator and as you said personable guy, so he can likely draw in good kids and staff and get them to work hard.

While I wasn't pleased with his playcalling much of this season, I was going to say at least we were going to remain consistent there. I think I'll only be excited he isn't calling plays if we knock this hire out of the park. Need this hire to be THE guy. We need an offense people are scared of.

to be honest Troy has been good recently and is a great springboard to bigger jobs if he can keep it going

Will definitely be rooting for Troy next year. Parker always struck me as a good dude. Just not cut out for OC duties. Could see him as a decent HC though. A Dabo sort of good ole boy motivator and leader.
100%

He was in over his head as the ND OC.

He might do very well as a HC at that level.

And, he does seem like a good dude.

I'm officially a Troy fan. Big win for everyone.

Why is ISD talking about Denbrock? Is he a real target or are they just wishful thinking on a live pod?
Denbrock wouldn't be my #1 but I do think he'd be a great fit. Veteran coach with a lot of experience in all phases of offensive development. He was a very good WR coach and recruiter. He's been an OC at multiple different points, all with very good success. And, someone that Freeman could lean on.

Though, I have no idea why he'd leave LSU for ND. His relationship with Freeman? His relationship with BK goes back decades. Like, they are actual decades long friends. But, maybe there are still some bad feelings about how things went down when he was at ND with BK last. Would seem odd to follow him to LSU if that's the case.
