because he's following orders..Why is Gerad Parker still employed as the OC at Notre Dame?
because he's following orders..
Are sure MMFF isn’t all in on Tressel ball because of his current personnel? I mean look at our WR room. Until we’re fully restocked an air raid system might be even less prolific than a ball control offense and force our D to be on the field way more.Nick Saban went away from ball control, run the damn ball offense because it no longer works in modern football. So Freeman better either 1. be a better coach than the greatest coach of all time or 2. change his philosophy.
If he doesn't:

I mean II wouldn't post it without having some reason to believe it. ISD has hinted at such as well. So to answer your question, Yes. I will believe what I have read.Do you believe everything you read from the get-go? Or do you not wait for more information and facts to be presented before having an sharing such a definitive and concrete opinion?
Not sure what we’re even arguing anymore but that OSU team was 8th in the nation in total offense that year under TresselIan Book 34/6 in 2019

Text has no emotion...I thought we were on the same page laughing at the fact Smith won the Heisman 20 years ago with such average numbers compared to todays game. Not sure what we’re even arguing anymore but that OSU team was 8th in the nation in total offense that year under Tressel

Ay?
The only thing I'm sure of is the offense is a soup sandwich! Are sure MMFF isn’t all in on Tressel ball because of his current personnel? I mean look at our WR room. Well, we do know that Freeman interjected himself into playcalling last year with Rees. Do we really think it'd be that surprising if he did with Parker?
Yeah, the most famous one was a pass to MM against Clemson when the game was already in hand...doesn't exactly scream super conservative RTDB...Well, we do know that Freeman interjected himself into playcalling last year with Rees. Do we really think it'd be that surprising if he did with Parker?
that was the safest play call ever, just like the run vs duke was the safest play call ever.Yeah, the most famous one was a pass to MM against Clemson when the game was already in hand...doesn't exactly scream super conservative RTDB...
exactly.Well, we do know that Freeman interjected himself into playcalling last year with Rees. Do we really think it'd be that surprising if he did with Parker?
I think this makes the most sense. The o line isn’t great at pass blocking and all of the most experienced receivers on the roster were done for the season by game three or thereabouts. Are sure MMFF isn’t all in on Tressel ball because of his current personnel? Let go today or moved or role modified, yes. A public statement about it, NO.I guess I'm mostly surprised that people are coming to this thread wanting to know why Parker is still employed. Do people legitimately think he was going to be let go today?
I seriously can't wrap my head around Marcus Freeman trying to hire Andy Ludwig less than a year ago only to now be directing Parker to run an offense this way. Those two things really do contradict each other, don't they?
Exactly, which he should then share in a lot of the blame.I mean, he is the head coach, and he has that right.
No the correct answer is Swarbrick doesn’t want to fire him.Word is because he's doing what his boss says....Can't fire a guy that's following orders.
He also has a wife that doesn't work and 6 kids....... that's so 1960'sSo the young, hip, handsome, fresh head coach with the banging fit and killer drip wants to play offensive football like it's the 1960s.
I'm starting to wonder if Jerry Reinsdorf owns Notre Dame Football.
I'm not in *love* with MF's offensive philosophy, but it absolutely can work in today's game. Georgia and Michigan are doing just fine playing that kind of offense.Parker shouldn’t have taken the job if he didn’t think he could excel under MF’s parameters.
I like MF’s offensive philosophy in general but there are better guys out there in scheming and qb development than Parker
To play devil's advocate, if someone offered me a substantial raise for a job I really wasn't qualified for I'd take it.Parker shouldn’t have taken the job if he didn’t think he could excel under MF’s parameters.
