Read this impressive fact in his profile. Eight quarterbacks whom Cutcliffe coached in college have gone on to play in the NFL: Heath Shuler, Peyton Manning, Tee Martin, Eli Manning, Erik Ainge, Thaddeus Lewis, Sean Renfree, and Daniel Jones.

Cutcliffe cannot be the long term answer for ND's offense man.

MF & Parker are boys so I know it will be hard to cut ties but if MF doesn’t want to get shit canned, he better get a veteran OC. It doesn’t have to be Joe Brady. Just get someone who knows the proper call when they have the talent advantage.

It seemed like a lot of teams used to stack the box against us because they knew our QBs didn't have big arms to make them pay. Now we've got a QB that can keep them honest and we're running into the box with 8-9 defenders. That seems...ill advised. I think we need to get good at countering this strategy someday.

It's a 2 part problem. Admin fucked up with Ludwig, Marcus fucked up by promoting Parker.

He also got told no by his first choice. And spent so much time dicking around with his national search that after the Ludwig fiasco, there was little time to pivot.

Well, it’s either that or his national search was total BS. Though it did give Loy a good opportunity to drop a bunch of loads in his shorts.

demote him back to TEs coach as he will never get paid this kind of money again. Bring in someone who is proven. Anyone! An Al Golden equivalent. Freeman was the wine hire at the time and feel good players choice. Imagine doing that shit at Bama?! He needs to finish with 10 wins this year and do the same or better next year or he
will be Willingham 2.0. At least he has some head coaching success until he got lazy and fell in love with golf. Freeman will not be a head coach anywhere else if he doesn’t make this work. Being in shape and charismatic does not replace X’s & O’s know how.

He could've extended it 2 weeks more IMO. I kinda believe it was BS after Ludwig though. I simply don't buy that Freeman is dumb enough to think Parker was a better hire than any number of outside OCs.

Oh Marcus can't manage a game to save his life. But he also ended up on Klein and Ludwig as his top OC candidates, and both of those were great picks. I simply don't believe that if there was a real search after the Ludwig debacle that it would have produced a candidate worse than Gerad Parker.

The three and out (53yrd FG) playcalling after the fumble was the most I’ve ever felt demoralized after taking the lead in a game. Just a complete lack of imagination, and so predictable. I can’t believe this is the best our great program can do. A first time player caller, who is wasting our rent a QB who holds passing records for days. What a disgrace
