Anyone who watched the games knows only one team was completely overmatched in those two contests and it wasn't Georgia. Georgia got beat but they were fighting all night and ND needed everything in all three phases to win.

The fighting Cignetti's should just be grateful that Freeman wasn't ultra aggressive/trying to make a statement. If they hadn't gone completely vanilla on offense towards the end and shell/prevent on defense, Indiana would've lost by 20-30+. The final score is really the most misleading part of that entire game.

The hit rate on the 2024 recruiting class after their freshman season has been phenomenal:

• Bryce Young
• Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa
• Loghan Thomas (has contributed - sack against Indiana near the end)
• Aneyas Williams
• Leonard Moore
• Anthonie Knapp
• Kennedy Urlacher (some may disagree with this but he's shown up every time he gets snaps)

And the staff/reporters indicated these players were close to contributing:

• CJ Carr
• Guerby Lambert
• Kedren Young
• Micah Gilbert
• Logan Saldate

Not to discredit any of the unmentioned players from the 2024 class. It can take 1-2 years for players to acclimate and ready themselves for the college game.

ND, after beating Georgia, moved into the semifinals of the playoffs with: a freshman DE, contributing freshman MLB, contributing freshman RB, starting freshman CB, starting freshman LT

What's crazy is that each phase did it in a separate game.

Defense got two pick sixes of 98+ against USC.
Offense got a 98 yard TD run against Indiana.
Special Teams returns a 98 yard kickoff for a TD against Georgia.

Gonna need a fan to bite the bullet and go down on the field, steal the ball and run it 98 yards without being tackled by security. The 4th phase needs to keep the streak alive!

Does anyone else think Mills was very good this year, but not AA worthy? Like he obviously had a few big games and had great sack numbers for a DT, but didnt feel dominant enough to be an AA season to me.
