His family was still in Cincinnati. He still owned his house down the street from his good friend and head coach. He had a separate place in South Bend. He just wanted to come back home to his family and friends. Do not blame him one bit. That was likely the only job he would have left for.

What's the scoop on Ash as a recruiter? I haven't heard boo about him on the trail.

MF has held back Ash and Denbrook from the trail this spring instead having them focus more on practice and game preps apparently. Even position coaches haven't been out as much, MF has had off field staff like MTA, Codlin etc and of course Auman make the trips

They released that last year, too. The packaging is slightly different this year (a bit more gold color in the label this year). They also appear to be releasing an engraved bottle edition with the leprechaun on one side and ND monogram inside a shamrock on the other -- that will surely be at a premium, though.

For the big spenders, they also released this last year. It no longer shows on the Teeling site as it is no longer a current release product. I bought one because it's aged 24 years, which meant it started aging my freshman year.

Gentlemen: something I believe worth mentioning though it's taking place on another football team.

I had nothing better to watch while eating lunch so I tuned the B1G channel report on Nebraska training camp.

There were FIVE people interviewed that brought up Rocco Spindler's name UNSOLICITED. Referring to him only as "Rocco", the remarks were always about leadership and demands for high standards. (and apparently no nonsense.) He seems to have become the very outspoken "Voice" of this team during all types of sessions.

I bring this up to indicate what our Notre Dame players are all about, what their character is all about, what their maturity and confidence is all about. Our system is training "Men."

I’ve heard the same thing about Pat Coogan from IU fan friends of mine.
