I like the Rutgers in DC idea considering we have a pipeline going on there and the main competition is Rutgers. Definitely a recruiting battle in the NorthEast.

some of you guys are seem to be deciding based off of current players that wont be there in 2-3 years. :)

I believe we tried to schedule a six-game series with Rutgers, but Rutgers would only get one home game. They were having none of it.

And we had a home-and-home with Alabama scheduled last decade, but they canceled once they got hit with sanctions.

Slippery Rock. B/C scUM posts the results of their games every game at halftime, and I'd love for the announcer to say "ND 74, Slippery Rock 0."

I'd like to see the Tennessee series restarted.

We owe Oregon State, so I'd like to get a Shamrock Series game against them.

And for a cupcake game, I'd like to see us play an Ivy - Harvard or Yale.

Cal, UCLA, Vandy, Rice, Northwestern. I appreciate schools that are good academically and have sports.

Also all the ACC schools that are highly regarded academically (which is most of them)

I'm a nerd.

I'm gonna go the ACC way:

1. Va. Tech
2. NC State (So I can rub it in my boss's face when ND trounces them)
3. NC (For the same reason above)
4. Florida (Ditto)
5. Illinois

How about a Shamrock Series game in the Rose Bowl or the new AEG stadium in downtown when it is built. I don't care who the opponent is I just would like to see ND without having to sit in that dump the coliseum.

This....At least with the Rose Bowl it is in a nice area the coliseum is just bad

Maybe it's cause I'm in my 20s, but I don't see the allure of beating PSU right now. Their program is going to be garbage for at least 4 years.

I see your point. I live in NEPA. The PSU fans here are brutal. Even after the tragedies and scandal that took place.

Took a look at Notre Dame Fighting Irish football future schedule - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

2013: Locked down.
2014: One spot in the schedule for what's being discussed here. And that's only if the UConn series is canceled as expected.
2015: As has been previously mentioned, we start our home and home with Texas. 5 ACC games + Texas + Navy + USC + Stanford + Purdue + Temple = 11. Again, the lone spot is a presumed opening for the UConn cancellation.

So the two most pertinent dates are/were tentatively scheduled for October 18, 2014 and October 24, 2015, which I am not mistaken are Weeks 5 and 6. I'd guess that would diminish our options since that's right when conference play ramps up for most teams..

That said, the four teams I'd like to play in descending order:

Tennessee
Florida
West Virginia
UCLA

beautiful area... though the complete lack of a parking lot at the Rose Bowl is always fun... I once went to a UCLA in the rain... trying to get out of that golf course when it's wet without 4x4 while in a traffic jam is just bad.
