This is a Doctor Who reference.

He "dies" and regenerates looking completely different. His TARDIS (his space/time ship) changes on the inside and so does his "sonic screwdriver" which is basically a computer that can do pretty much anything.

So basically the joke would be that the person isn't really dead, just regenerated into a new form.



For those Whovians out there, yes I used #10 and #11 as they were very well known and had decently long runs and may be more recognizable than the current #12. (and yes, this comment pays no heed to the "War Doctor")
