So they are going to take all of Syria for themselves?
Probably wouldn't be a bad thing...Israel could bring stability that Syria hasn't seen in some time. There would probably always be a cultural element that doesn't conform though, so in the end the stability would be temporary.

Yep, everything over there is temporary. It’s just a matter of time before another group becomes disenchanted and starts an uprising.

They had a plan. Leadership is working there.

It's sounding like Syria may get carved up and redrawn. Turkey has serious ambitions to get the Ottoman Empire band back together. Not completely, obviously, but they want to expand.

Israel has taken a sliver and may take more if the Druze want their protection and the Kurds may get a chunk.

Honestly- might be the best thing to happen to Syria. Let the 4M Syrians in Turkey wander back to Syrian land. Protect it under the NATO flag.

And in the blink of an eye, GPS's, maps and globes have to be redone as there is no more Syria.

Turkey has entered Syria up to Aleppo but the world is howling because Israel took the buffer zone in the Golan Heights.

It's just funny watching Turkey criticize Israel for doing the same thing they are.

I get what Ireland is saying, but it appears that Israel is about the only country that knows that if you don't deal with the terrorists and those that support them in an extreme manner, this problem isn't going away.

The ONLY thing that terrorists fear is the loss of 'muslim' land.

See, Muslims think that once muslim land, always muslim land. They still think Spain is theirs.

It's one reason that Israel makes a point to take some every time they are attacked. As a deterrent. It looks like they may take northern Gaza and a chunk of southwestern Syria this time. And they will run to the UN and beg and demand them to make Israel give it all back. And the whole world will howl and Israel will say 'pound sand.'

It seems they may be taking the Yarmouk Basin as well to protect themselves and Jordan.
