Recruiting is a big question mark for him, yeah. FWIW, it’s basically on par with Iowa despite Iowa having a number of advantages.

Mainly, I see a guy who has a large number of wins over more talented teams and he’s not dependent on some unusual scheme to catch them by surprise. He’s a good coach who might reasonably get great results with better talent.

Iowa State has had two HCs with winning records since the end of WWI: Matt Campbell and Earl Bruce. Johnny Majors couldn’t win consistently there.

You think? I would guess both sides would try and sell it as a redemption tour - Meyer going about it the "right way" this time, going back to the team he spurned; and ND holding him accountable.

I'm sure it would end up in flames, but I think you could try to sell it that way. The haters will have more wood to throw on the fire though.

They will only prioritize it when the wallet gets hit through decline in ticket sales, merchandise, etc.

Unfortunately, they know ND has a VERY loyal fanbase, that will suffer through literally anything. They can continue to be apathetic, and still profit.

Exactly priority rn is to hold on to the 2020 and 2021 classes, they are definitely 2 of the more talented ones in years. Find another OC that is also a QB coach
