Can't go into specifics, but word on the street here is bye bye BCS status at the bare minimum.

I don't know. I think if the Fiesta Bowl were even hinting at protecting their guy then they would be done for as a BCS bowl, but they have basically thrown the guy under the bus and backed up to run him over. That may help save them. Maybe the Cotton Bowl would have forced another bowl out of the BCS eventually anyway, and maybe that bowl is/will be the Fiesta, but they have 3 years left on their contract and I wouldn't totally write them off yet.

The BCS was created by the SEC where the "S" stands for Scandal. The commentary in SEC land will simply be the SEC mantra, "Shucks, they wernt doin' nothin' that evbody else does. They jest wernt smart 'nuff 'bout it."
