The FAA is opening an announcement to the general public for hire this February if anyone is interested. If you are 31+ you are unfortunately ineligible.

How's the salary?

It depends on the facility you work at. The lowest level is a 7 and the highest is a 12, based on the amount of traffic per hour. You also receive locality pay based on the area of the country you work.

The average is approximately 125K.. Level 7s top out around 85-90k and 12s at 200k+. It all depends on how much overtime/holidays/night shifts/Sundays etc etc you work. Those numbers can be astronomically higher if you are a work horse.

I personally think its a blast. It's not as stressful as it's made out to be either.
