Youngblood is an 80's movie with Rob Lowe and Swayze that I loved growing up - used it as the good old second AOL name I had. If you're wondering, the first was when I was about 10 years old and thought it would have been a good idea to have notre dame in mind - with which my screen name was "Fgt Irsh" - I still get ridiculed for it.

Since it is officially "The Part of the Year That Sucks", here's another off-topic thread:

Explain the meaning of your handle and why you chose it.

Mine is pretty simple. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles (Monterey Park), and I work in Los Angeles. And since SocalDomer was already taken, I chose NDinL.A. At the time, it was the only message board I ever joined (still only read college football message boards and no other message boards - I waste enough time on ND football as it is!), but is still my favorite.

What about you?

my first name is frank, my friends call me tank.

and i used to own a 4x4 jeep wrangler. i use this handle on all the forums i'm a member of, which i believe is up to 4.

Walter Payton, the greatest runningback of all-time IMO. Left this earth way too soon. He was the reason I even started playing football. R.I.P. Sweetness.

A lot of people outside of ND fans questioned the hiring of Brian Kelly, because of ND being up and down for so many years and they questioned the ability of he and his staff to recruit. Can't second guess this staff as they continue to show that they know what they're doing.

Charger, my college's mascot

my father and i are something like the 6th set of Ben and Benjamin(alternating generations); hence it is a tribute to all of them.

Well I'm a Michigan fan, and I live in New Orleans, so mine is kind of a French pun...

It means "blue house," and when you say maison bleu, it sounds a lot like maize and blue.

I went to Tulane. My pops went to ND. Tulane is the Green Wave. You know about the Domer. It's also my relatively successful PokerStars handle.

Notre Dame and Tulane used to play quite a bit when Tulane actually gave a rip about football, back before they left the SEC due to academics. Tulane is 0 and 8 versus ND. :)

Sherm Sticky was my alter ego. When I was younger and used to go out for a night on the town. I guess you could say he is my wild side.

ND in CT is pretty self explanatory. I wanted to change it up.

Thanks for calling me out ;)

I am with you on the alter ego. My family gave me the nickname of DBOE when I was 3 or so. It caught on with my friends over the years and they used it against me. Built into a real platform of who I was when certain situations came to. During HS practice it was my regular name. During class it was my proper name. Friday nights it was DBOE to everyone that ran into me that day. 34 was my number. Still to this day when i'm bouncing at the clubs or "mangression" has to kick in people quickly change the tone to, "DBOE is here!" I loved it when I set the American JR squat record raw... the announcer said record setter DBOE with a squat of ... not sure how he knew but my name on my check in card was same as birth certificate.

Mine also seems pretty obvious. My brother went to school at Notre Dame. I used to attend a lot of games when I was in high school (this was during the Ara era) and fell in love with the football program. My father would have liked me to go there, but I wanted to study broadcasting and Southern Illinois University had an outstanding school for that. But our football, although good by FCS (1AA) standards is pretty good, you can't beat Notre Dame football.

HA HA!. Actually this was the reason it stuck when I was little. I had the name before but when I was constantly getting in trouble for being the strong fat kid ... my 4 brothers and 1 sister plus friends decided that was me! Funny as **** fellas.

I chose mine due to the fact that I am a HUGE ND and colts guy and am originally from Indianapolis. I am a huge supporter of both the Colts and the Irish so the name came really easy for me.

Mine has three meanings. Maverick means independent leader. I loved top gun, and my favorite team in bball is the mavericks. 1980 was the year I was born.
