Expectations & Excitement

I just read the transcript from Coach Kelly's presser today. I remain cautiously optimistic that we are on the right track. Maybe it is just the fact that the season is finally approaching, but I am starting to feel pretty good about our chances once again. I haven't felt that in about 6 years. Going into 2005 I was really excited and eventually became disappointed and you know how it has been since then.

1988 was a long time ago. 1993 killed me because we were so close. After we beat FSU, I KNEW we were going to win another championship. Who knew it would continue to get worse?

Here we are again. My expectations have risen and failure will only mean I am even more devastated when the first loss happens... if it does. But that's the thing. I have this thought in my brain that we won't lose a game. It is possible, right? Maybe we need a little luck to go along with what Coach Kelly has brought to this organization. I understand that. I guess if we knew how it would all play out, it wouldn't be as interesting.

I just can't wait for this season to get started. Sept 3rd can't get here soon enough!

^This....used to do it all the time, and after about 4 months of dating the woman whom is my wife, pretty much said "no more". Not that I didn't need to quit chewing, cause I did, I needed to slow down on the drinking as well.

This is really funny. My wife put the kabash on it for me as well. She would rather I smoke cigarettes than chew. I'd rather do neither, but when you've had a few beers, well, you know.
