I am a Musah fan. That said, Juventus is a hot mess and I'd rather not see him end up there. Arsenal seems to have a lot of young talent and much of that is in their midfield, so I don't know where he gets minutes there. That leaves the "club we do not name in this thread" who has a lot of 30 something injury prone midfielders as best as I can tell.

Musah ending up in the Prem being coached by Arteta or J***** K**** wouldn't be the worst thing to ever happen.

He's an Arsenal academy kid, so maybe he'd want to go back. As for our midfield, yes and no. While our wings and attacking midfield are young, Partey and Xhaka are not. While Musah is not a pivot or defensive mid, he could even be someone who could slot into the new role Xhaka is playing this year, defend some, then get right up into the thick of the attack.

I'd love to see Musah back with the Gunners. I believe he and Saka are still close too.

Musah has never played at defensive midfield as best I can tell.

Just don't go to Juventus.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't either. In Arteta I trust, so if he does come here, they will find a way to get him in the game.

I agree about Juve too.

Arteta has a good gig going right now. Pep gives him the guys he doesn't want anymore because he needs a new challenge at the top of the table.

I like the way that team was built. Doubt they will challenge City this year, but it looks like they're going to be around provided they can keep some of these players from leaving. I like Martinelli a lot. Saka seems like a good kid.

Watched them against L*C last weekend. They go to ground pretty easy.

Guardiola at Anfield is like me in my mother in law's living room. Rattled, triggered, ready to go home as soon as I walk in the door.

Proper match. And another Liverpool player injured. Hire some doctors, Fenway.

Great game, great atmosphere. I love Liverpool, so fun to hate and root against. Congrats to them.
Real and Barca played today. Didn't realize because of this fixture.

Liverpool won a minor battle in a war they won't have a part in this year. I fully expected City to score 5-6 goals today. To get cleansheeted? Where is this Liverpool team between today and the Community Shield back in the summer? They only get up for City?

Tomorrow LFC need to get down to business and figure out how to finish fourth. City are going to win another title. I don't see Arsenal pushing them as Liverpool have. Conte's Spurs look pretty strong too. Work to do but they're showing some signs.

Italy is a proper title race right now. If you have nothing vested in any teams there, it's fun. As an Inter supporter, I feel like they are going to have to dig out of a hole to be a factor.

Feels like people are going to be writing off Arsenal up until the point they've clinched the title. Somehow I don't see them just falling away.

They won't fall away, but they won't win it. Not against this year against City club, anyway.

Win or lose ManCity vs Liverpool is such a great game always.

I’m not a fan of Gomez but he played out of his skull today. Props!

No Elliot. No Carvahalo, no fit CB, no Robertson, No Jota…..oh and TAA on the bench today so no defensive liability at RB. Milner put in a fucking a shift today.

I watched 15 minutes of highlights and then watched the full match back.

I think Klopp did what everyone has wanted to do for years: scream at Anthony Taylor for being shitty at his job. Best sending off ever. Anthony Taylor is garbage and sooner or later a serious injury will occur on his watch. I don't care which two teams are playing, he's terrible, and he should NEVER be around THIS fixture ever.

Foden is a talent, but someone MUST do something about his hair. For real, though, he's a good one.

How is James Milner still playing? I've liked him going back to his City days.

That Bernardo Silva is a proper twat more often than not, and he really seems to get boiled when he plays Liverpool. Thankfully women are the more emotional species.

Darwin Nunez gets the ball and no one knows what is going on once that happens. Himself in included.

That Allison is a proper goalkeeper and has now been involved in more goals than any keeper in Prem history. Marvelous.

DeBruyne. (That's the part of the post)

Mo Salah is good.

Gio Reyna started and scored for BVB yesterday. Need him healthy and fit in the buildup to the WC here. When he’s in form he’s an absolute difference maker and maybe the best talent in the US pool. He’s just never healthy and able to find form.

I like him better when he's coaching any team not Manchester United.
As much as I didn't like him, and still don't, in hindsight he was dead on accurate about what was going on there in many respects.

He embraced being the villain at Chelsea. That's one thing I wish some of the big money clubs today would do, as opposed to DYING to be liked and begging for validation. Don't be ashamed of the resources you have. Jose and Chelsea didn't care. Zero f*cks given.

Jose loved being the bad guy on the big bad club that had all the money. Hating Chelsea was fun when he was there. Both times.

He was good at it. I hated those Chelsea teams and most of the players on them. Drogba.... couldn't stand him.

Also, agreed that Mou was completely dead on about United. It just took a couple more managers to get the higher ups to figure it out. Seems like they are giving ETH more than any manager since Ferguson.

Also, anybody looking for a prima donna striker by chance?

Terry and Lampard were guys I didn't like.

I think defeats to Klopp managed teams got Jose sacked twice, maybe three times? It got to the point that waiting for him to get sacked became something to look forward to.

But can they do it on a sweltering desert afternoon in Qatar?

"Fun" Fact: We haven't had a "number 9" score a goal at a World Cup since 2002 with Brian McBride. (Unless you count Dempsey as one)

I'd honestly not be surprised if we go another cycle with that trend continuing.
Jesus Ferreira looked poor in his biggest game of the season the other night, and now will be not playing for a month straight leading up to Wales.
Not ideal for the most likely number 9 for Gregg's system. System over talent managers are the worst, but sadly that is what Gregg is and doubt that is changing over the next month.
