Two of my most hated teams are playing for their World Cup chances on October 11th. Mexico versus Panama. England versus Montenegro. That will be a great day for international soccer.

The celebrating in the tunnel by the team was great. I wish I was there, but tickets were a bit too much. Ah well, saving money on tickets will let me buy a new jersey and shirt for the USMNT!

WE ARE GOING TO BRAZIL!

I am really hoping the civil unrest in Brazil improves or the US gets drawn into a safe area because I would love to go. Belo Horizonte would be ideal because I have a friend that I could stay with there haha.

It can mean getting a seed for the WC. It would take a lot of help, but it's possible. Win the last 2 Hex games and hope Uruguay, Greece, Portugal, and Croatia don't qualify.

Celtic proved to me today that absolutely can play with this group and can move on from the group stage...

their problem is simple... who is going to finish?? the difference today was Milan capitalized on two of their chances and Celtic butchered all of theirs...

that may be the difference between third and fourth.

I wonder how long Mourinho's leash is this time around. He will clearly need time to develop Chelsea, especially with the young players they have signed the past couple of years. Mourinho is a successful manager and I'm a firm believer of giving managers enough time to sign and develop the squad and forge an identity. Yet you never know at Chelsea and at all the other clubs with rich owners.

In the meantime, I am going to enjoy Arsenal's away match win against Marseille. Ramsey is finally showing signs of his potential. When he signed with Arsenal a few years back Ramsey was supposed to be the next big thing. People thought he should be sold after his poor performance back from injury the past couple of years. I am just glad he is developing well and performing for Arsenal at the moment. I also don't think Arsenal need to sign a defensive enforcer; Arteta and Ramsey will get the job done. IN WENGER WE TRUST!!!

Celtic let another point get away due to a complete lack of a Striker... really missing Hooper now... they played exactly how they did last year agaisnt Barca and every worked prefectly again.... except they didn't have anyone to finish the counter attacks.

What did Celtic do to Neymar to get a red?

My boys are getting smoked but at least Negredo has gotten one back. I'm honestly surprised Man U is winning. Real Madrid dominating as per usual.

Hard challenge brought him down, which probably warrented a yellow, but while he was down the Celtic player kicked him in the back as well. Obvious red.

I figured Celtic would play rough. It is a bit harsh to step on someone though.

If Pellegrini stars Dzeko over Negrado again in a big game, ill lose my shi%. I dont care if he has experience vs German sides. Negrado is so much more tactically sound. He was exactly what we needed today. The group for us will be decided over the next two games. Still this one hurts, we aren't that much worse than Munich. Toni Kroos is one hell of a talent!

I have not been able to catch Man City this year but what is going on recently? They were blowing the doors off of people last year.

The main problem I see(By no means masterful opinion) Pellegrini is insisting on playing 4-2-2-2. That meaning Yaya Toure, and Fernandinho are meant to cover 50-60 yards of pitch by themselves. Yaya although being a great player, is incredibly lazy. He isn't the type of player that will chase down people all game.(In my opinion the main reason pep got rite of him at Barca). We got killed today in midfield vs bayern's three main midfeild. Against three players(Lahm, Kroos, and schwinsteger) that never stop moving. They were like a machine.

The differences in the united game was that United only played a midfeild two of Carrick and Fellani. Yaya and Ferna were able to dominate the game.

It was painfully obvious throughout the game today, how Pellegrini didnt make changes at halftime I'll never understand.

Games like this are why its baffling to me we allowed Gareth Barry to go out on loan. Tough day to be a city supporter, but Bayern are the best team in the world and they showed it today.

I can't believe this run Arsenal has made thus far. It's still early so I am trying to keep my optimism in check, but they are playing great with key injuries. Can't wait to see the full team with Podolski, Walcott, Ox, and even a more healthy TV5 to give Mert and Kos breathers in the back. A key signing come January could push us even further.
