Arsenal supporters getting woke.

It's going to be sad when Guardiola leaves and Xabi Alonso steps in allowing the big blue train to just keep right on rolling.

The North London Derby is the best match in England. In a league that some are finding a bit stale lately, that one never seems to disappoint.

Fourth place Bologna is four points clear of Roma, two points behind Juventus in Italy. Four matches left to go. At Torino, at Napoli, Juventus, at Genoa.

Brutal match as a Spurs performer. Just was sloppy on a few occasions where Arsenal capitalized, unlucky not to score in the first 20, but good entertainment and energy from our side. But this match is a microcosm of what we lack to truly compete consistently at a high level, which is a lot at the moment but a very solid core.

I would agree, but to be fair, by the time Arsenal got their third goal they'd had two shots on goal. To win a championship in any sport, you need to have situations like that happen in addition to being good. I feel like Arsenal, in addition to being very very good, have also had good timing this season. That helps more than people realize.

Spurs have faults for sure but with a couple of good moves they are in the thick of Champions League top four football. At least they aren't Man United or Chelsea.

I like Big Ange, but I sometimes think he's stubborn tactically, which I think all these guys are to a degree. I also don't understand how, by late April, people don't know how Arsenal set up on set pieces. Ben White is going to get in the keeper's way every single time. It is being allowed, so it has to be prepared for. Spurs didn't appear ready for it. You need one of your guys to get their guy off of your keeper.

I still like Son a lot.

I still can't fathom the money spent on Jesus and Havertz yet continually hearing how Arsenal need a striker. They're so compact and tight defensively. Newcastle is not going to let Isak go when he has a contract and they don't need the money.

Set pieces have been a major issue for us all year. Ange even stated he isn't hiring a set piece coach, hopefully he gets nudged a bit here. Tactically, he will live by the sword. I don't hate it necessarily, but i take your point.

They say we have a 200+m war chest for the summer but i have heard this story before.

Ben White is a master of shithousery. Playing with the GK's gloves was top notch.

Like you said, we all know what Arsenal do on set pieces. How does it take until the 2nd half for Spuds to mark him?

Wasn't a great look considering he's already been accused of being stubborn.

I still can't help but like the guy, though.

Can we assume that if Everton or Nottingham Forest had tried this shit they'd be relegated to the sixth division in Wales?

I think the need for a striker has changed with Havertz improved performances. He was brought in as a Xhaka replacement. Jesus isn't the guy. I'd rather see him play as a winger or as part of a striker duo. They will need to replace Nketia though. A player like Sesko or Gyokeres, someone that would need to earn playing time at a big club.

Positions of need are RW, MF, GK, good young CB

Havertz isn't a striker, he's like a baseball utility player. Valuable to a team like Arsenal but not a true #9. They still need a #9 to be top of Europe level.
I wonder if they thought he could be one because of his skill but yeah he's just a jack of attacking rather than a master of any part

Ugh.
Hate to be that guy, but this could alter his career terribly.
His strength is his pace, and it is no guarantee even with modern medicine that he ever gets that back post surgery / recovery.
Best of luck to him, but this is a gut punch.

He has finally found the right club spot for himself, and was playing the best of his career. In my opinion.
World Cup 2026, is less then 800 days away.
Road to full recovery begins now.

This post is real talk. All you're saying is 100% true. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully Eindhoven takes care of him.

So much of Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen is set up like City and Arsenal.

They still have not lost a match all season. Lead Roma 2-0 in Italy with 78 minutes gone. I don't see how they do not win Europa League.

Aston Villa trail Olympiacos at home 4-2 in Europa Conference League. England's last hope in Europe.

How are you feeling about Arne Slot joining Liverpool?
Hadn't heard of him until a few weeks ago. Don't feel anything about it. I've read he lines his teams up tactically similar to Guardiola and Arteta. So there's that.

Somebody needs to make Slot aware of the amount of games he's going to have to play in December and January.

Ruben Amorim wanted way too much money. I like Amorim, but for him and his people to be asking for equal or more money than Arteta makes at Arsenal seems like a bridge too far. Somebody will give it to him, though.

You knew it was going to be bad when Bruno was out and our starting CBs were Johnny Evans and Casemiro. I think Casemiro was directly involved (poorly, of course) in three of the goals.

Eze and Olise are really good players. I can't imagine they're at Palace much longer. The money rolls up. Couple of PL experienced players will yield a very nice sum of money.

They just need to be smart about where they go.

PSG will likley take a long look at Olise this summer to replace Mbappe.
It could be smart for him to move to PSG and increase his chances of getting a call up for France before World Cup 26

Eze "should" go to Spurs in my opinion, and they could really use him. Obviously.
However, I think United will want more English attacking blood and he is likely nailed on for them this summer.

Agree, and Olise has star potential.

He's only 22, but he missed half the season with hamstring injuries. That's worth monitoring.

Eze is going to turn 26 this summer. His time is now. I'd be curious to see where he goes and how he is used. Seems like a good candidate for the 10/False 9 role. Just put him in the middle of the park and watch him score goals.
