There is a ton of speculation that Keita will be in Liverpool by the end of this window.

Pulisic to Liverpool would be better a move for him IMO. UK press today saying its a Man Utd/Liverpool battle.

Come on Christian, you know you want to finish what you started with Klopp!

He would be a great signing for Liverpool. Natural fit on the left wing as cover/competition for Mane.

CP is self described ManU fan. It they offer, I find it hard to believe he doesn't go to ManU given half a chance. Only thing is that Klopp who brought him into BVB is at Liverpool... which overrides which?

Is Liverpool actually in for all of Keita, Pulisic, and Lemar? I doubt it.Pulisi and Lemar are actually very similar.

I am guessing Pulisic is more expensive but Pulisic also has a much more significant ROI than Lemar. An American on arguably the top supported EPL club in the US would sell tons of merch.

Yeah, I gotta assume it's either/or for Liverpool.

It sounds like there is actually a serious chance of Keita coming in early. That would be beautiful. Not that he can replace Coutinho as a playmaker, but having another MF would allow Lallana and Ox to provide cover for Mane and Salah. With Coutinho gone, we are definitely an attacker light.

I am pumped for the Liverpool/Man City game this weekend. Should be a great one, just as the reverse fixture was shaping up to be, before the martial arts broke out.

Keita is a box to box midfielder, he wouldn't really be a replacement for Phil though

Totally agree. I meant that, with Keita filling a midfield spot, someone like Ox is less likely to be needed in midfield, so he is more likely to be available to provide cover for Mane or Salah on the wing. (This is also true to some extent of Lallana and Wijnaldum.) Liverpool should still be looking to acquire a creative attacker.

He is easily my favorite American player ever, if he want to the rags I would just be so incredibly sad because there is just no chance I could root for him in any capacity anymore..

I'm allowing myself to get excited. Philippe Auclair is hearing from "(serious) German sources" that Keita will arrive at Liverpool Football Club before the end of the month. I was blowing off the tabloid reports, but maybe it's real?

I think City come out and play very well today. They’ve played great this year against the big clubs, think it continues today.

That match proves exactly why Liverpool SHOULD finish second this year but likely will NOT. I give City credit because they showed tremendous grit in staying in that match.

Andy Robertson was tremendous. Man of the Match for me. I sincerely doubt he's played in a match like that prior to yesterday and he was up for the task.

Ox under Klopp is going to be fun to watch. Think of where Klopp had Lallana last year and up through his injury. Imagine what he's going to do for Ox's career. Lad was superb yesterday.

Bobby Firmino's contract is up in 2020. They need consider nailing him down. He's only 26.

Wonder if Can and Liverpool consider a contract now. Can would do well with Keita in front of him next year.

Joe Gomez made a crucial error on the Leroy Sane goal, and it wasn't getting beat near post. That's on Karius. Gomez has made some big mistakes this year that have led to goals. He still needs work.

If Klopp finds a keeper and gets rid of a few guys on this team that are holding back the attack, Liverpool could have something very special in 2018-2019.

Agree on all points, Rogue. Except that LFC likely will NOT finish second ... on that one I think it is too early to say even whether it is likely. I could see LFC finishing anywhere between second and fifth.

My heart was absolutely in my throat on that last free kick where Aguero was offside. Yikes. When Can went off and Bernardo Silva came on, the game totally changed. Apparently Can was ill and Klopp noticed that he was starting to fade so he replaced him with Milner, and Milner didn't really know how to play the 6 spot. Or so Klopp said after the game. Similarly, he pointed out that Bernardo had much better luck against Robertson that Sterling, which I thought was a little rude to Robertson since he had such a good game, but there was definitely some truth in it.

On Firmino, it scares me a bit that he has a 82M release clause in his contract. LFC have to offer him a new deal. He is so central to what we do, the way he starts the counter-press.

I've heard some rumors that Can has told teammates that he has signed a new deal already. I have also heard that the parties are still stuck on the release clause: Can wants one, LFC won't hear of it. Either way, it sounds like the parties are hard at work on a new deal and Can is not opposed to signing one, which is huge news. I was worried that he wanted to leave. He was great yesterday and showed why LFC really have to get some done with him.

What they do with Henderson is going to be very interesting. And they seem to have Gortezka delaying his inevitable move to Bayern. If they added Keita, Lemar and Goretzka this summer with a keeper, look out.
I still think Klopp will sell off some current guys who he considers to be dead weight.

If Can doesn't come stay I hope they go for Paredes.

That game yesterday was a big eye opener for the rest of the League and Europe. They've just told folks they're for real.

Right. After that game, LFC will go into the knockout stage of the UCL full of confidence. No reason they should be scared of anyone, at least not at Anfield.
