Shocked no one is here for the abysmal Ryder Cup showing by the Americans.

Scheffler goes 0-4. First time any player on any team hasn't recorded at least a half point in the first four matches since 1979 and it comes from World #1.

EU just has a way of rising to the moment in Ryder Cups. Complete domination of the event in my lifetime. I attended the 2021 event in which the US destroyed EU. That was fun, but it's such an anomaly compared to typical results. The US needs to get it figured out.

Watching the RC is incredibly stressful as I compare it to watching ND play. I can’t stand to see them lose so I decided only to watch after the fact if they were winning. It’s too embarrassing to lose to them and on our own soil! Scheffler was better before he was the big shot he is now. DeChambeau has some humble pie to choke down. Trump can’t bear to watch! Keegan obviously should have played. Hopefully we salvage a winning day as singles. Just shows the Americans to not have and almost never has had team chemistry.

My son tries to qualify for the state tournament today at his region qualifying event.

Any words of encouragement you guys want to speak into existence would be greatly appreciated.
Hit 'em straight!

Hope he does well.

My daughter is a freshman and made all conference. First conference championship team in school history. Regionals are coming up.

It's fun to watch in person. I keep to myself and stay as quiet as possible. Some of the other parents, not so much.

It boils down to this - Europe plays as a team, the US is a group of individuals. This is why Europe is much better at the team events (alternate shot especially) than the US players are, and the US is typically better in singles play, as there is no team concept in your individual match. The US spends their time griping about money dispersal from the PGA of America, and the Europeans focus on playing the event and winning. Until the US players figure this out, it isn't going to change.

It didn't quote your photo of the Oregon truck. I was asking if that was the course you were at when you saw the truck.

Ahhh yes, that’s where I was. Shot a 78 with 5 missed birdie putts I had a chance at and two doubles.

Well unfortunately, my son was the first man out. Missed qualifying by 1 stroke. Missed a two foot putt on the second to last hole that would have made the difference.

So many shots I wish he could have back, but that’s golf I suppose.

He’s just a sophomore so he has a couple more shots at it.

That’s fair. Some whites and blues are negligible and then some are 35-100 yards longer.

This course has individual tee boxes for most tees. I’d say 25-50 yards difference between whites and blues.

Whites that day. My buddy is probably a 25 handicap. He didn’t need to be on the blues
I’m a double bogey golfer & have been for years. Why? Because I play a few teams per year & never work on getting better…LOL. At least I’m at the age to where I can blame myself for bad shots instead of throwing clubs. I’m also soon to be at the age where I can tee off from the senior tees!

Amen brother. I just tell everyone that even though I pay the same price for greens fees, My cost per stroke is significantly less. I'm a "value golfer".
