well played game, i can only see a handful of plays that didnt go for positive yardage, our linebackers are really going to need to shed their blocks quick.

what i noticed out of the UCONN defense is that they looked like previous ND defenses, alot of over pursuing, arm tackling, and the infamous "shoulder" tackle rather than wrapping up. With the speed and athletes that Michigan has they'll make you pay and take it to the house as Robinson did.

what i also noticed was that most of the runs went up the middle, not just Robinson as you showed in the picture in another thread. But alot of the RB runs went up the middle, not very many stretch plays that i can remember just from that video you posted. it seems if they want some one to get to the outside they do alot of swing passes or short passes. just a quick observation.

they'll make ND pay if they don't bring the Michigan runners down with the first hit, but comparing UCONN's defense to ND's, i have more faith in ND's

I wouldn't take too much from that game plan, just the execution. I'm sure we'll start out trying to grind it out with you and if it works, then great, if not we'll move on to something else. In fact, RR said he would try to limit DR's runs from here on out.

All information about our opponents is useful, and even inspiring of conversation. This being a free country, it's astonishingly easy to not pop the button and thereby not watch the video. I see this video as a service to myself, who can make a better assessment of what we're up against and whether the hype is real or manufactured. There's apparently some kind of minefield hang-up operating here, but I'd respectfully ask the poster to not deny the rest of us this sort of information because of it---especially since it's so easy to avoid being bothered by such a posting by just not reading it. I don't know how big Robinson is, but is he big enough & tough enough to take those kind of hits from the likes of Notre Dame & the Big Ten? A whole lot of running. I didn't see anything that suggests this guy has an arm on him. Lastly, it was either great offensive execution or Uconn's D coudn't tell there head from there arse?

I embeded the code so we all could see how Michigan, Robinson, destroyed Connecticut. This is Michigan Game Week. It's relevant. Robinson will be tough to stop. His OLine created seams for him and seemed to find them instantaneously and was downfield in a flash. The video also shows he's a better passer than we thought preseason.

I appreciate ]\/[GoBlue sharing the video. Wish more opposing fans were interested in dialog.

If you don't like his posts I believe there's an "Ignore Poster" feature in your User Control Panel that you can set so you don't have to see them.

He throws some decent posts down and is pretty durn respectful but....he is a scUM fan after all.

Bet they'd even welcome some inside dope on michigan [injury status; change in two deep roster; etc] if some michigan fan was too wide-between-the-teeth to spill it. Thanks BGIF, for the sanity and the point. As opposed to talking up Denard, I think UConn was really slow off the ball 60% of the time, therefore, was beaten soundly in the trenches. The rest was really missed assignments by linebackers and safeties. I don’t think it was well played at all and I wouldn’t expect it to be, after seeing the lack of size and speed of UConn’s defense. I am sure they had no idea what they were in for.

That moves to the next point: the hypothesis that even Denard Robinson has to start from a fixed point on his side of the line of scrimmage. Now I saw some of the replay of the MisUCon game, and I noticed something I haven’t seen brought up yet. Michigan’s offensive line made UConn look tiny. I mean real small. Granted UM’s line is athletic, but they are miniscule compared to say, Purdue. Now that was a giant line! That is why Ian Williams and Sean Cwynar need to get a good push, (to keep zone blockers off Teo and Calabrese.

If Teo and Calabrese can play down hill and meet Denardo, say, half-a-yard on his side of the line of scrimmage or just a little deeper, Denard will not have the ability to cut and move. You will notice, Denard was immediately across the line of scrimmage against UConn and able to move two plus yards before the UConn linebackers challenged him. What a tailor made playground! Also, he will find it a little different playing against faster 240 to 250 lb linebackers, than say the 210 to 220 lb versions that UConn fielded. Also, DE’s: We don’t have any like theirs. Ours have experience and strength. They will show how much they have improved since last year, this Saturday if they didn’t last.

Everyone has talked about skilled positions. If the game plays out like I think it will, we will beat the living $#&(* out of them in the trenches. Purdue had a really good D-line, one of the better in the Big Ten. Michigan does not. Also, we will see if their o-line is that tough; they are going to need to be! I still think their best lineman starts for the Buckeyes.

I hate USC as much as you guys hate Mich, so I get what you guys are saying. But at the same time, he's been respectful, has admitted to MICH's faults (which is more than some ND fans can do re our team), and hasn't acted like a 'troll'. For that reason he is allowed to post here.

We're all human beings (even UM fans...SC fans I'm not so sure), and in the end it's just a game. As long as opposing fans want DIALOGUE and not shit-talk, then it's all good. When they act like a-holes, we boot him. This UM fan has yet to do that.
