Progressives have been delegitimizing men for decades. Deteriorating the family unit, deteriorating men’s role in the family, deteriorating men’s role in society… a dangerous man is a man without a purpose. Progressive ideas have been to the detriment of men almost every time.

When young men can’t compete, build, or lead families, you get withdrawal (video games, porn, isolated beer guy in the man cave), despair (male suicide rates, substance abuse), or channeled rage (extremism, aimless protest, gang violence, mass shootings). AI will exacerbate this, but the cultural soil was prepared long before Claude and Grok type models.

We need a cultural reset… promote fatherhood, mentorship, and rites of passage for young men. Stop the reflexive “toxic masculinity” and feminizing men framing that alienates the very demographic we need building the future. AI can been seen as just another thing to devalue men… or to my next point is choosing agency over victimhood. There are still tons of jobs/trades and usefulness for men. AI is and will continue to hollow out higher education areas which might actually be more of detriment to women than men who naturally gravitate to trades with less immediate exposure to AI or automation.

AI and automation can’t be daddy’s and husbands either… but maybe progressive will find a way.

IMO, it's more about "... They’re (young men between 18 and 28) the exact demographic that has driven every revolution in modern history: educated young people who did everything they were told, took on debt to get degrees, and are now discovering that the economy has no use for them... (Today) There’s no frontier to absorb millions of displaced knowledge workers. Military forces are shrinking, not growing. Government employment is contracting in most Western democracies. And the gig economy, which once served as a buffer, is itself being automated."

I’m mostly implying if we had a better foundation of men and purpose as men then we wouldn’t lose purpose in our job/work/titles. AI can take my job if it wants it, my purpose can’t be replaced and neither should any other man or future man’s…. but progress.

In Wisconsin over the 4th. Sunday 8AM mass absolutely jammed with young families. Kids everywhere, place is full for the early mass after a "late" night of fireworks and 'Murica 250. We focus very much on the negatives but there is a noticeable uptick in youth participation in Catholic Mass. Purpose in traditional family values and God is the answer and I am optimistic in seeing this at home and on the road.

My frustration this year is I have seen a rise in a backlash against Independence Day, its founding, its Christian roots and principles and the support those groups get for stomping on America’s day.

I’m probably too caught up in my head but the left seems to have a common enemy. Straight/white/Christian/Men. They have aligned with a common enemy. Alliances never thought would ever be aligned… like the gays for Palestine… as an example.

Is it progress to see Muslims marching and chanting on Independence Day wanting replace the US with its ideology/people?

Is it progress to see BLM and people of color separating themselves from this day and not being able to celebrate it’s progress because of the past?

Is it progress to see LGBTQ groups infiltrate the church and redefine love?

It’s applauded as progress.

People argue about what America was and wasn’t founded on but the America even 25 years ago wouldn’t put up with most of what’s happening now. Now it’s invited/celebrated and any rebuttal is met with how anti American and racist or hateful it is.

I have mentioned it before America was founded with almost 100% Christian and up until the 90s was 90% and it plummeted since then. The generation before us and ours has really fucked things up. Can only blame ourselves.

This is the game. This is how you tear it down. You villainize everything. We don’t celebrate progress anymore we create victims but in order to create victims you need a villain. Soon America will just be considered the villain once everything is villainized.
