In this case it's actually earned. Biden for all his faults did navigate the US out of the economic effects of COVID on a gentler path than all other world powers.

Trump has completely destroyed it all in record time.

Different lenses. Curious as to what faults Biden had.... I don't recall you chiming in with any in the past.

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?!!?

Being a stupid prideful idiot and not seeing the writing on the wall. He should have stuck by his word and not ran again. Instead we got months of him looking like a corpse and then he stuck us with Kamala on the way out the door. Kamala as vp was terrible.

Garland as a limp dick AG also did irreparable damage.

So you support Trump pushing to keep big private equity out of home buying?

This is so economically illiterate. Half of Blackrock's $14 trillion of managed assets are in passive index funds. $10 trillion of Vanguard's $12 trillion is passive. OF COURSE THEY OWN A SHIT TON OF ANY PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY.

The bigger problem is passive ownership that rubber stamps anything the board puts up for shareholder approval -particularly executive comp. Highly concentrated passive ownership undermines corporate governance by neutering shareholder oversight. Cases in point - DEI and climate bullshit.

Gas prices can recover quickly and the near term pain should have long term benefits if Venezuela is controlled. Shining light on global ME dependence also strengthens the US if we kick the greenie weenies to the curb and unleash our energy economy.

Hate the war in Iran but that cat is out of the bag.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... At least you didn't call me "Sweetie Pie." ;)

Sure, I guess my point is more consolidation and I'm sure rent hikes will come right behind it.

Wait, so the largest economy in the world can flex its muscles to stunt its own success to achieve nothing but hurting other smaller economies because 25% of the population has the equivalent of a Trump University degree in economics (and medicine in some cases!)? That’s the own?

This is like if ND ran Love 35 times against USC just to prove they have a better rushing attack. Well done you proved what everyone knows but just hurt yourself in the long run.

What do you guys think? Sure sounds like all the early Tech Bros. will cash out after the tiered lockout window post IPO, leaving retail investors holding the bag.

There is a reason that institutional investors said no thank you to the SpaceX 94x valuation. Maybe it works out it in the long term...

Good overview of the mechanics of the great SpaceX/OpenAI/Anthropic heist of retail investors' retirement funds.

Interesting to hear about Schwab loosening Margin and Day Trading requirements for retail investors... Pile on all the retail investors out there, make it happen.

I like that he rightly pointed out that after crash and retail investor crush, savvy investors come in to buy the generational stocks of a lifetime for pennies on the dollar and then the real long-term value of the hot technology (in this case and era, AI) actually kicks in.

Maff is hard with all them numbers and stuff.

No way Omar is worth $30M but the point is well made. These public “servants” building millions of dollars of wealth while in office is crazy regardless of what party they belong to. But considering the Lefties love to hate revenue producers, it’s even more hypocritical

Yes. You’re correct she’s not worth anywhere close to $30 million.

That’s literally what it was. Yahoo finance was counting the entire value of her husband’s company as her net worth.
So her accountant is Yahoo? She filed the disclosure not Yahoo Finance. She went from being worth $6m to $30 which should be a big deal with all congress but isn’t really… but then in an instant went to $18k to $95k, which is sort of not believable for anyone someone to at has raked in $1.3ish million in salary alone. She went from red flag to being bad at finances?

IIRC the accounting error was only discovered after she started taking heat with all of the corruption they were finding in Minnesota.

Convenient. Yahoo does her taxes too apparently.

I misunderstood. I didn't realize there was a second disclosure. I thought they were contesting what was reported about the original.

Seems like a tax avoidance thing.

Obsession is easily characterized by your need for Bishop to reply to you when he ignores you. Or when you @ me when I wasn't part of what you think you got me on (see CSIS). Still waiting for that apology, @TorontoGold.
