Even if we beat FSU, I doubt we would get much credit for it since the rest of our schedule is looking downright horrible. I am not all that surprised to be honest. If we get a decent bowl now, then I will be surprised.
Depends on who loses in front of you. I still think an 11-1 ND gets in. Too many others in front right now will lose another game. Win out and let it fall where it may. For the record, my Bama team is in the same boat. Win out or go home.

We will see I guess. I think at 11-1 ND will have a great chance to get in. Same with Bama. Some things have to happen for that to play out but if we are both 11-1 at the end of it all, I think we both make it.

Sadly, once we beat ASU, they will miraculously become unranked.
So us beting ASU vs. MSU beating OSU is a push (although you could argue our win is better because it's on the road).
How would the committee stack up OSU beating MSU vs. us beating ASU? Really, there's not much difference (4 spots in the poll), but something tells me they'd value that win way more than us beating ASU.
Anyone else feel that way?
I'll actually have a little faith here. If both ND and OSU win, I don't see the Buckeyes jumping the Irish.

By the end of the year, they might, especially when they win the B10 title.
But this weekend, if OSU and ND both win, we would stay ahead of them.
But unless USC is ranked in the top 15 by the time we play them, we won't get much credit for this schedule.

If USC keeps winning, they'll be 8-3 coming off a win over UCLA when we play them. Should be Top 20 at least.

They have three lay ups after MSU (Minn, IU and Michigan) and a title game against an opponent that won't be ranked very high. I doubt it'll be enough to overcome a brutal loss at home to VTech.
Point is we literally have almost no shot at the top 4, even if the OSU win does not matter as much as you feel it does.
Scheduling is such a crap shoot. Before the season this looked like a tough schedule but our opponents have let us down.
Before the '43 & '89 seasons people probably didn't anticipate the collective opponents' records.
It's cyclical and future ND schedules will be good enough to get ND into the playoff.
