Except this year the scUM OL won't be able to move our DL, and Shembo + Fleming will keep Denard contained. We force him to beat us with his arm, and our secondary devours him.

Michigan's O-Line is supposed to be pretty good. Phil Steele rates them 21st in the country [third best in the Big Ten]. They have three returning starters, one of which is a great center [Molk]. Their line will be no pushover.

It's extremely hard to project how they will do with their transitioning offense.

It's also hard to evaluate their OL last year because...

1) Robinson rarely stayed in the pocket on passing downs
2) They rarely ran between the tackles

For a team that would like to have a power running game, their interior OL appears fairly undersized. Their guards weigh 292 and 299, and their center David Molk is 286.

So it's not unreasonable to assume we'll win our defensive battle in the trenches? If that's the case, as I mentioned before, we simply keep Denard contained on the edges and force him to throw. I'm not afraid of his arm, nor his receivers.

Riddickulous is correct on all this. I believe that GOBlue has already speculated that Rodriguez sized linemen were a tad too light for Hoke's concept of a more Wisconsinesque offense. Nevertheless, Molk, Omameh, and Lewan are still good .

Molk will need to be better than good if he's going to handle a Nix with 40 lbs. on him.
