Our defense is unreal. They looked a little shaky in the first few series, but adjusted to the speed very well.

very much in agreement. Farley looked a little lost out there at times. Its still very impressive how we shut down Miamis offense.

Their quarterback threw over 500 yards last week. He threw 200 this week.

They didn't score a touchdown this week, and scored 44 points last week.

Our defense is just plain sick.

2 weeks ago, I still didn't think we were a top 10 team. Maybe Miami was way worse than we knew, but the koolaid is flowin. Raw secondary or not, no Tds for 3 straight games? Unreal. Got a weird look from my wife during the game after she heard me man-crushing on Diaco.

The Defensive backfield definitely proved that it didn't need to rely on a ridiculous pass rush to play solid. Very impressive performance against the best set of WR we've faced yet.

the funny part is that the pass rush was "weak" in ND comparisons. This was the worst pass rush I have seen from ND this year and they still only gave up 3 points to a high powered offense.

They're not the fastest nor most talented but they have improved every week. This week they didn't get the help of any sacks, only 1 TFL, and 4 QBHs.

I knew our front 7 would be tough this year but I never thought our D would be this good.

Two new starting CB's and we are still dominating. Hats off to Diaco, Kelly and the rest of the staff because this D is for real!

But Miami does have speed. AND we kept up with them and on offense GA III blew by all of them. Their speed is a yardstick and we measure up and then some.

I don't think it was about Miami being faster than ND, it was Miami being faster than any opponent they have played so far. The defense adjusted accordingly after some very lucky breaks. The secondary is still suspect but they keep improving.

Big time example of being well coach and understanding that being in the correct place at the right time is the key. This defense is playing like an extension of the coach on the field-beautiful. Mix in the fact that they have gotten some fine athletes and you got a defense that can win you games. When the babes in the secondary get blooded and experienced this defense could get real nasty.

Miami came in averaging 472 yards and 35 points per game. Unreal.

By the way, we are now #2 in the nation in scoring defense. #13 in total defense.
