Babers is a good enough coach to get them there IMO. He never had a chance this season w/ opt outs & injuries. I think they were down to 55 scholarship players.

I remember when Dungy went down in the 2018 game & thinking Devito was going to be good once he got some experience. Unfortunately for him he ended his season early w/ injury. Culpepper was a career backup but knew the offense.

The problem with Syracuse is they have yet to truly invest in their football program to the level of their ACC counterparts. Babers has a 4-star QB from California committed who should help the cause behind the two youngsters already on campus. I wouldn’t give up on Babers yet.

I would have liked the game ball to have gone to Javon, as well. The year's leading receiver, but with no touchdowns, gets three touchdowns on his senior day.

Yeah, somehow forgot about the two rushing TDs. On further review, BK can keep his game ball duties.

I watched part of the Clemson VT game. They are banged up. Their OL especially so. It will be a war, but they are far from solid.

Right. I did too. Clemson isn’t a complete team right now. Their star linebacker also went out after the first series and showed up after halftime out of uniform.

You wonder what Coach Dabo is thinking about how we shut down Etienne. Say what one may about Lawrence, but that offense really depends upon being two-edged. "Curing" a limping running game isn't usually dead simple unless there were missing athletes returning upfront --- I don't recall that, but could be wrong. If he has the same moving parts, how does he change schemes for NDs defense? I think that we're way too physical to think that he could simply "motivate" them to victory. I wish that I knew more about running schemes and alternatives that Swiney could try, but I don't.

Meanwhile, what is Venables thinking about Book? His usual bring-the-house philosophy (as long as Kyren sees it) didn't work consistently enough. It's really important though (in my opinion) to get Big Tommy back full power and mauling, so that he and Banks can create load-bearing walls on both sides of the Center.
