What the F&$K???? Really???? Because of one night or two nights out the Irish have just thrown in the towel?????

Who are you guys on this site??? Not the same I've seen all year... is it because the Irish are in the Camping Bowl?? is this why the BS in the past 5/6 posts???

Geezus... I was 17 years old on a traveling baseball team and got to Birmingham a day early.... got drunk with some local b-ball players until 2am.. had to be at colors and presentation at 7am - 30 minutes away from hotel, sweating, sh!tty and half-asleep... got a fast ball 1/2 inch away from my chest, 2nd pitch and didn't move in the 4th inning still sweating and my third-base coach screamed at me to get into the game... two pitches later hit a drive 30' over right-field fence for a 3-1 win.......

because I was a kid having fun..... but when it was time to perform.. we put it together... you guys sound like the Irish shouldn't even take the field....

^^^^^^this^^^^^^

My old man used to always say that’s the difference between baseball players from basketball and football. The baseball players stay out partying all night chasing girls and get up the next morning to play a double header. Basketball and football are going to bed and getting their sleep before games. I know this doesn’t help your point but think his point was the baseball players have all the fun.

I suspect ISU fans will out number ND fans. This has to be one of the biggest games in school history. Adding that it’s a bowl game makes it bigger for them. At 10-2 this bowl is a big disappointment for Irish fans.

How the team responds today is anybody’s guess, but they didn’t mail it in after scUM so I think they will show up with pride.

I don't think highly of the Big XII. I think it's a very weak conference and that even the best teams in that conference, Oklahoma and Baylor, are worse than us. I think LSU is going to make the 2012 NCG blowout look competitive against the Sooners and Georgia is going to suffocate Baylor.

That being said, Iowa State is the best team ND has played since Michigan, and while ND has dominated pretty much sense then, this is a jump and I'm questioning how this team looks amidst the transition and the long layoff.

Although the talent gap is huge and shouldn’t be that close of a game, I fully expect the team to come out flat and piss me off to no end. That way, I can be pleasantly surprised if things go better :)

Iowa fans like to dismiss ISU fans, but believe me it's a big deal that Hawkeye fans are in line with Cyclone fans for this one. I don't get it, but the state of Iowa hates ND.

Probably stems back to a religious thing from their youth.
I'm only halfway through Illinois, but the further from Chicago you get, the fewer the Catholics.

Its BK and the coaching staffs job to get them prepared. If the kids aren't engaged, it's their job to engage them. If they play listless, it's on the coaches. If they fail here, it's a step back IMO.

And it would be especially bad after pushing a coordinator out the door for locker room reasons.

Rain, massive Iowa State fan turnout, reports of an unfocused team. Anyone feeling good coming into this game?

Hadn’t felt good since it was announced. One of my close friends is an ISU fan so of course he’ll get to hold a win over ND over my head forever.

Saw on twitter where one sports book took an $80K bet on ISU +3.5

I think everyone picking Iowa State could be the thing that fires up the team. Or at least I hope. I dont think Iowa State scores more than 14-17 points. ND 35 ISU 15

Nope. Really hope the reports aren’t true.

Going to be raining by game's end. We're screwed.

We’re built for this! We have the NC State and Michigan monsoon game plans to fall back on! Oh wait...

I’m just hoping to enjoy one last ND game this year. Go Irish! Cheers!

All the best to everyone!!

Did I just hear the announcer imply that ISU had a schematic advantage?

Is there some kind of bylaw that we must wear white in bowl games?

I'm assuming we've worn blue against LSU because they always wear white, but other than that when is the last time we wore blue in a bowl game? The Hawaii Bowl with Clausen?

The Fiesta Bowl vs. OSU in 2016.
