Can't blame Weis. Sorry, Dayne.

He'll be successful in life regardless. Great kid with an amazing degree.

Hate it for Dayne, really wanted him to have his moment in football.

He'll be a great success elsewhere.

in the final analysis...Kelly had it right and is vindicated in his decision to replace crist and go with rees.
crist just wasnt a good college qb. great kid. great kid. but between the lines it just didnt work for him.
im confident he will be fine in anything he does in life

Just heard Eric & Tyler interview Dayne on the Inside ND Sports pod. What a great example of the 4 for 40 decision. He sounds like he has a great job but after listening to him, I could imagine him doing some analyst work in the booth if he ever wanted to pursue that. I’d take him over Jason Garrett. Plus, I don’t think outside fans would make a big deal about him being an alum b/c they likely had never heard of him.

Awesome to see alumni back. Good to see Crist still feels right with ND. Wish he could have had a few more chances to get it right. He had some decent moments. I just remember a lot of throws short and low of the target. Ran into him in an ND bar in Hermosa beach. Asked him if he was a fan of Kelly and he noted he was NOT. Couldn’t blame him. Living in clausens shadow.

Seems like a pattern that since Freeman took over the program more guys are coming back around now that Kelly is gone. Especially guys who played for Kelly. LOL.

the former player reunion literally started the spring after BK left. Its a proper event in the field house where them and their families are invited

Braxton Cave and Trevor Robinson are svelt these days.
Very common among linemen on both sides of the ball whenever their careers end.

My senior year of college I saw one of our OL at the bar in March and hardly recognized him. He was down 60 lbs. and the last game we played was early December.
