Couldn't read the article, but read a similar one on NBC. I agree, if they served 15-18 years then they should have access to any benefits other members would have received under the same conditions.

These were the kinds of things I was fearful of have happening. There's also reports now of the state department just not issuing passports as well. They've also recently updated their website indicating that it's only a matter of time until they invalidate trans people's passports. It's such a stupid thing. Gender markers weren't required on them until 1977. Trans people have been able to change them with proper documentation at least since the 90s. I know this doesn't affect anyone else here, but these steps from administration are just absolutely mind boggling1000018564.png
