A Rod actually seems humble and does a pretty good job in the post game analysis.

Though my team is the Braves, since they've been out of it since mid-April I've been pulling for the Cubs. Here is to 4 more wins, the end of curses, and a ring for Jason Heyward.

Tough seeing the Braves go through their rebuild, but hoping they make some moves in the off season and open their new stadium with a competitive team. And would love to see the Cubs finally end the curse. My Reds? No comment.

I'm not sure if Cub fans have suffered enough.
One more heart wrenching loss is in order.
Think about how great winning it all next year will feel then.

I've never said this before, but, Go Cleveland!
I just threw up in my mouth a little.

I will be flying into Chicago if only to watch in a Wrigleyville bar.

Go Cleve....???

Can't even type it.

I have a 92 year old Grandma who's waited long enough and I know it will be tough for her to watch. Her and my Gramps watched the Cubs everyday and joked about this day never coming in their lifetime. They got it half right, he died right after Ernie Banks did.

This really got me thinking about all my family members and friends who didn't live long enough to see this day. It also would have been just to see Santo and Banks in the box sitting next to Billy Williams last night.

Unlike most other Southsiders, I'll have a Santo jersey on proudly rooting for the other team in town.

Just heard Schwarber's probably going to play here in AZ tomorrow too. Hopefully he jumps on a plane after the game and joins the team in Cleveland on Tuesday.

Agree...much better than i thought.

Dude has zero need for the $$$ but you can see his love and knowledge of the game.

You're absolutely right about ARod sharing his love for the game. That makes his analysis even more enjoyable to digest. Now, could they get rid of Pete? I know the booth would be too crowded and maybe too many microphones but I would love to hear Joe Buck, Schmoltz and ARod announce a game. I haven't heard ARod explain a in game analysis, I bet he'd be excellent.

ARod does well, agreed.

My Mom grew up with the Cubs. Gramps was the Exec Chef at Wrigley and I recall watching games from the restaurant. Every visit to Chicago would entail him putting wrigley packs of gum and those plastic batting helmets in our coats. It was Awesome. Passed in the early 1980's-I know he'll be watching from up high with Grandma (who would always have WGN Cubs on).

I like Pete, cranky old man but it was great when they were talking about HOFers and I kept thinking that Pete's not part of that crew. If I go to Wrigleyville I want to make a poster that says Pete bet on the Cubs! Makes me laugh....

I love watching Pete.

He's sitting in between two HOFers, one who did things only Ted Williams did in their primes in Big Hurt and the other whose career stats are right there with the icons... and Pete's still the alpha male.

I miss the era when you didn't have to worry about being liked. Marketing and endorsement dollars have killed the sh!t talking assassins like the Rose's Butkus' & Bird's of the world.

I bet Ty Cobb was a blast.

I just saw Joe West is working the World Series.

I wonder if he will let our catcher go to the mound to talk to our pitcher.

I literally couldn't control my emotions on Saturday. You would've thought they won the WS.

4 more guys!

I headed down here to the Giants spring training stadium in Old Town (Scottsdale, AZ) to see Schwarber play tonight in the AFL and found out a bit ago that he's on his way to Cleveland and will be the DH tomorrow night.

Good for him! 1 more day.

This is unreal...

Here's a report.
REPORTS: Kyle Schwarber Expected to Make World Series Roster, DH in Game One

Please don't do anything stupid. Just swing hard and get some knocks. No running hard or silly crap.

This is the World Series. Run as hard as you can. This isn't a rehab start.

I heard from an excellent source that he's near 100% physically. Said he looked good in his one day rehab. Hit into the shift for two ground outs, walked with the bases loaded and hit a would be double into the gap that the OF made a diving play on.

The Cubs should start Zobrist, Fowler and Hayward in the OF and Hulk at DH. That gives them 5 left handed bats against Bauer.

If he's 100%, fine. But you don't take chances with a newly rebuilt knee. I know it's the world series. Don't cost him a career because of a short term goal. It will cost you in both the present and the future (*cough* Dusty *cough* Baker *cough*).

He'll be fine. Theo wouldn't give him to Skip if he wasn't ready. And even then, it's the World Series... throw caution to the wind!

Decided. Meeting my bro from the West coast, sister from southern VA, cousins in Chicago, cousins from Indiana and Minnesota. We are in for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday games. Some have tickets, some don't.
