At what point is Charlie Skrong on the hot seat? I know it's only year 2, in what was billed as a tough love, cleaning the cabinet (and he did) and rebuilding with character plan, but damn. Texas doesn't like losing, say nothing of repeated blowouts.

Lol... Texas puts together a 17 play drive, eats up a bunch of clock, and... MISSED FG #2. They are terrible. The look like an FCS team pulling out all the stops trying to keep up with a top 10 team right now.

That's the thing, they are getting destroyed. One thing about Kelly's time at ND, very few games where we were blown out (Bama 12', USC 14'). The previous regimes were blown out on a semi-regular basis.

Strong is a good coach, but I don't think he understands what he inherited at Texas. That is a party school if there ever was one, and changing the culture there is going to be a 5 year project. The problem with that is the alumni are obnoxiously impatient and unrealistic about their team every year.

Yeah, I just don't see how Strong will ever be able to rebuild the program. Texas is...at best... the 4th most appealing destination in Texas right now for top players (TCU, Baylor, A&M all are better programs and Tech is probably about even), and top Texas talent is increasingly getting poached by the top programs across the country.

I'd think they're going to ride him out for the season unless they start getting blown out by unranked programs.

Wait until the season is over to try to get another big time coach. Probably smart considering how public the Nick Saban recruitment became when they pushed Mack Brown out.

Speaking of Coach Brown, he's done a fantastic job of being unbiased and classy regarding Texas football fans and alumni expectations on air. Even when the other commentators were speaking, he sat and kept his poker face.
