I love every minute of it, and cannot understand why anyone would like the NFL more than college football. It's glorious.I am so happy this is happening. The memes and jokes are writing themselves, Kiffin is laughing and Tweeting.

Starting QB's (or projected starting QB's) are going for $2M according to Ryan Day, and he says premiere OT's and DE's are probably going to need $1M if you want to keep other teams from poaching them. I think the context meant for active players on your roster, rather than your recruiting class.Ohio State believes it needs $13 million in NIL money to keep its football roster together: Doug Lesmerises -- if this is the case, then that's basically the baseline that the FUND has to aspire to.
How they've kept that WR core together is the biggest shock. Egbuka, Flemming, Babb, Gee Scott? None of these guys want to go from a 3,4,5 to a 1 or 2 for some cash?Ohio State believes it needs $13 million in NIL money to keep its football roster together: Doug Lesmerises -- if this is the case, then that's basically the baseline that the FUND has to aspire to.
Time to close up shop. End college football.Ohio State believes it needs $13 million in NIL money to keep its football roster together: Doug Lesmerises -- if this is the case, then that's basically the baseline that the FUND has to aspire to.
Just getting to reading this now. I have no words.
It’s less about what ND, theoretically, can or cannot do. More so, about the state of college football that we’re getting coaches, essentially, begging boosters to pony up more money for their team. It’s just a sad state of affairs for the sport.Sounds like a deal to me, Notre Dame gets over $3 million just for graduating kids and being tied into the championship series. The sums of money that were already floating around college football are staggering.
That's the real difference. It’s less about what ND, theoretically, can or cannot do. More so, about the state of college football that we’re getting coaches, essentially, publicly begging boosters to pony up more money for their team. It’s just a sad state of affairs for the sport.
I am with you Lucky...NIL is going to ruin this game. You have to wonder if the payroll will increase season by season. Will certain coaches want more pay to deal with keeping a roster in tact?Just getting to reading this now. I have no words.
I'm not exactly poor and it sounds like a lot to me. Don't be so pretentious.A million 😂😂
Sadly, for some people that sounds like a lot of money. This is such bull shit. I knew this shit would happen.
No, it’s not. A lot of money at ND mixed with an ND degree is worth far more than $1 mill and a Bama degree. And what the hell. Keon Keeley is a near guaranteed first or second round draft pick as long as he shows up to practice. $1 mill NIL is a joke for a kid like him about to make a ton of money (likely far more than we realize) at ND, get an ND degree, play for an elite defense and get drafted high.I'm not exactly poor and it sounds like a lot to me. This is such a bad post. While responding to a post saying don't be so pretentious, you respond by being even more pretentious than before. While adding some additional assumptions that are beyond all reason. Woof. No, it’s not. An ND degree is worth far more than $1 mill and a Bama degree. And what the hell. Keon Keeley is a near guaranteed first or second round draft pick as long as he shows up to practice. $1 mill NIL is a joke for him.
I’m sorry you don’t see the value of a lot of money and a ND degree. Perhaps you should like a less academic institution. Pretentious? This kid will make more money than you and I combined. Gag me.This is such a bad post. While responding to a post saying don't be so pretentious, you respond by being even more pretentious than before. Someone get lucky whatever that disliked this an accountant.
You got me. Because I don't like when assholes come across like douchebags on our message board, I should like a less academically inclined institution.I’m sorry you don’t see the value of a lot of money and an ND degree. You’re the one that came out swinging because you didn’t like the truth that ND is Keeley’s best option. Calling someone stating the same hard facts MF preaches at recruits pretentious. Educate yourself before you call names. You got me. Because I don't like when assholes come across like douchebags on our message board, I should like a less academically inclined institution.
There haven't been many toolish responses like this on here in a long time. Keep up the good work. You're crushing it.
Whiskey routinely shares the value of ND degree with the board. Though when he does it, it comes across differently. You're right it must by my education that's the problem, lolYou’re the one that came out swinging because you didn’t like the truth that ND is Keeley’s best option. Give Lucky $1 million now and I bet you he could turn it into more than $10 million within 5 years.I’m sorry you don’t see the value of a lot of money and a ND degree. Perhaps you should like a less academic institution. Pretentious? This kid will make more money than you and I combined. Gag me.
You sound like the kind of guy that would take $1 million now vs $10 mill in 5 years. For that, I can see why you think the way you do.
Hi, CPA here, $1M is absolutely a lot of money. I've advised PGA pro's on tax strategies for US/CAD source winnings. A million dollars is a ton of money for damn near everyone. A good barometer of what is "important" to someone is taking 5% of their pre-tax income as a basis for what's material to them. So, unless you're making $20M, $1M is a lot of money to a lot of people. No, it’s not. A lot of money at ND mixed with an ND degree is worth far more than $1 mill and a Bama degree. And what the hell. Keon Keeley is a near guaranteed first or second round draft pick as long as he shows up to practice. $1 mill NIL is a joke for a kid like him about to make a ton of money (likely far more than we realize) at ND, get an ND degree, play for an elite defense and get drafted high.

But ND isn’t paying these kids chump change.Give Lucky $1 million now and I bet you he could turn it into more than $10 million within 5 years.
Regardless, I think if all things are equal you have a point. But if you could make 1 million at Alabama guaranteed upon signing vs. 0 at ND upon signing, you can see why that may no longer be the best option I hope.
