Nebraska? 😂That doesn’t even make sense. With Nebraska, Ole Miss, Auburn and others in play?

He's from Fort Myers. As mentioned previously, USF allows him opportunity to turn a down program around, and be in place for any bigger jobs that will be available if he wants (FSU).That doesn’t even make sense. With Nebraska, Ole Miss, Auburn and others in play?
Have i missed something? That doesn’t even make sense. With Nebraska, Ole Miss, Auburn and others in play?
Not officially. Only included as it seems Kiffin could still leave.Have i missed something?
Anyone alive in the mid 90s thinks Nebraska is a good job.Nebraska? 😂
I agree. There’s an easy test to prove your last statement. Just ask a fan the name of the HC who preceded the following successful HCs:Nebraska is a good job with a good support system and fan base. Like ND all those years, it just takes the right coach to turn things around.

Vanderbilt has finished the season ranked (2013) more recently than Nebraska (2012). Every major program hasn't had a stretch like they've had.Anyone alive now thinks it’s a middle of the pack P5 job. Unless Nebraska plans to pour millions into NIL (heck maybe they will) and buy their way back to relevance, it’s not that good a job.
Nebraska has 389 straight sellouts and competitive facilities with a motivated fan base. They were the first that I recall turning South Bend into a home game with the sea of red. They have national champion and heisman trophies in the lobby.Vanderbilt has finished the season ranked (2013) more recently than Nebraska (2012). I think I got three?I agree. There’s an easy test to prove your last statement. Just ask a fan the name of the HC who preceded the following successful HCs:
Texas : Mack Brown
SC : Pete Carroll
UGA : Mark Richt
Bama : Nick Saban
OU : Bob Stoops
UF : Steve Spurrier
Miami : Howard Schnellenberger
LSU : Nick Saban
Colorado : Bill McCartney
I’m confident that most fans can’t name the HC who preceded the above HC…which proves…it’s all about getting the right HC.
John Blake (awesome dude) was at OU. That’s the only I can come close onI think I got three?
Paul Hackett at SC
Mike Shula at Bama
Gerry DiNardo at LSU?

Yeah, I was alive then, and in the 70s, too. Nebraska will never be a nationally relevant team ever again. Never. The calculus has changed, irrevocably.Anyone alive in the mid 90s thinks Nebraska is a good job.
Navy and Yale have national champion and Heisman trophies in the lobby too.Nebraska has 389 straight sellouts and competitive facilities with a motivated fan base. It’s not a bad job and sure as hell isn’t comparable to Vandy.
I would have guessed Galen Hall at UFThis is off the top of my head:
Texas - John Mackovic
USC - Paul Hackett
UGA - Jim Donnan
Alabama - Mike Shula
Oklahoma - John Blake
Florida - Gary Darnell
Miami - Lou Saban
LSU - Gerry DiNardo
Colorado - Chuck Fairbanks
If it’s all based on NIL, then there’s only a handful of decent jobs and the way ND has taken a different approach to NIL then we’re not in that group either.Anyone alive now thinks it’s a middle of the pack P5 job. It's not all based on NIL. But NIL can help turn a "6" program into a 9 or 10. If Nebraska doesn't have that, they'll stay a 6.If it’s all based on NIL, then there’s only a handful of decent jobs and the way ND has taken a different approach to NIL then we’re not in that group either.
Looks like Rhule to Nebraska is official. Really really good hire for them. I'd have thought Rhule could do a little better, frankly, but at this point it doesn't feel like many of the top college jobs will open this year. Maybe he'd have been better off getting fired last season.
I guess that's good for a HC who's looking for nice pay for 3-4 years, and for fan's living in the past. Recruits don't want to go there, and their results are terrible.Nebraska has 389 straight sellouts and competitive facilities with a motivated fan base. If this is anything other than Prime trying to leverage more money from USF, then I truly don’t get it. South Florida is such a natural fit, whereas Colorado is about as opposite of a fit as possible.Bruce Feldman on Big Noon said Colorado offered Sanders the head coaching job and he is considering it.
