He is a fucking troll, for some reason thinking his off the wall comments trashing ND and praising USC would fly around here.

Look at the fake FG thread.

And, he probably wasn't all that excited in the NFL-his heart wasn't (and isn't, apparently) in it

How true. All GREAT college football players have trouble getting excited about playing at the highest level. It's a well known trait amongst great athletes, the world over.

How come I only ever hear this excuse from PAC-10 people?

Clausen is a very good, very accurate, stud QB. But so was Quinn, and chances are, Crist will be too.

When players leave early for the NFL every season, the programs they play for, earn the reputation as an NFL factory. One of the reasons USC has dominant defenses every year is because all the draft hype they get -- it gets the attention of 5 star NFL bound blue-chip prep-studs, who want to be in their position leaving early as a 1st day draft pick in the NFL too.

If Clausen goes, good! Let the new class of blue-chip talent take over and begin their legacy at ND.

I heard a rumor the other day as well,...

A reindeer told me his sister's cousin's brother's best friend, who overheard a cow telling his mother's uncle who had been listening to...... oh shit, I forgot, it was just a rumor... that freaking reindeer Neutered is at it again......

And on the other hand, I ALWAYS believe what I hear or read from ESPN .... especially when they talk about ND!!!!!! They simply love the Irish.......

Did you hear anything from Auntie Em or Toto? How about the Scarecrow, the Tinman or the Lion?

ESPN=Choad Central

I'm sorry but Brady Quinn was a smart accurate QB, but he possesses 1/2 the ability of Clausen. I think i get drilled for this but I don't care. I think its true. Jimmy can make every throw and makes every throw well.

Does anyone think that Clausen and CW have talked about this already? A poster on another board posted something I thought was interesting: if we see more of Crist, is that an indication that Clausen is leaving? I know Jimmy's got some hardware he's in the running for, but after 2007 I think Charlie realized the value of game experience for his QB's.

No, Charlie said he won't have any discussions with JC until December.
I read that too, and absolutely believe it. With all the close games, Crist hasn't gotten time, if the opportunity is there I think it would be in the teams best interest to give him some reps. Just my opinion, especially after 2007. Then again the team is more talented now than it was then, everyone was green. Either way Jimmy has a lot to think about.

I am all for seeing more of Crist. The more game time experience he has, the more seamless a transition there will be when Clausen does leave or graduate.

These are going to be the best years of JC's life and career. I hope he realizes that greatness might be at stake and that he stays. Leinart and Quinn did.

Some people have bigger aspirations. If you don't think life as an NFL QB is great, you are fooling yourself.

Good point.

Even if Jimmy isn't a starter in the pros (God forbid) he can sit on a bench, throw a couple of passes in practice, take no hits, and make millions while basically doing jack squat.
