He looked upset on the sidelines that he didn't get to play on Saturday. I hope Weis doesn't red-shirt him this year; don't want one to get away.
he should have no problem seeing the field IMO, that is, if he wants it bad enough. Riddick has shown that he can play, so he is on the field..... Wood must get his competitive fire going in practice and show that he can play. Everyone knows he could do it in HS, now we have to see if he can do it in college.
That being said, out of our RBs, Hughes and Riddick impressed me the most.
Allen seems to still try and run outside alot, and even though he says his goal is to break more tackles, he really didnt vs. nevada. Plus, a big no no for me and anyone who likes watching good RBs, is the fact that he fumbled on his first or second carry of the game. Let alone, it was a 10 yard gain at least and he fumbled out of bounds, Alford probably still chewed him in game film after seeing that.
Aldridge looked pretty good at FB, hopefully his injury doesnt ruin his season, but i really havent researched into it much yet.
Hughes? Really? Are you sure you don't mean Jonas? Did Robert even play before the 4th quarter?
Im sure.... theo didnt play RB till the fourth either, maybe the third, but he did make the best of his carries, as did hughes. Gray and Allen just didnt impress me much. This also could have been b/c they were playing against the 2nd string D. Just my opinion, but all the big ?s for the run game being legit will be answered next saturday.

isnt aldridge just back on kickoffs til riddick gets comfortable? I forsee riddick and wood being the 2 kick returns by michigan st....total guess tho
COACH WEIS: We'll use -- the way we practice is it will start off with Barry Gallup back there with Theo, and we have a number of guys that are involved in the mix. As I told you last week I'm not comfortable about putting two freshman back there, you know.
We've worked Shaq back there, Goodie back there, Robert Hughes back there, so there is a number of guys we've worked back there, but I think that having somebody kinda take charge back there is important to me because most of the time we're going to end up with the ball in Theo's hands, by our design, regardless of what they end up doing
Spot in the game where you saw this?
I would presume that when gong from HS amazing to just another amazing athlete at a skill position that it would be frustrating. I'd be itching to get in there too. He'll be ok.
Darius Walker did not play in week 1....check out week 2. Different cirumcumstances, but Cierre will have his time to shine.
