Larussa needs fired and the the organization gets a huge F for the offseason.
I understand where you're coming from and realize they had a shit week, but maybe pump the breaks for a second. To be fair, TLR was forced upon them in the first place by your chairman. I don't think he can be fired unless he gets another DUI running over a few trans kids with his car and burns a few copies of To Kill a Mockingbird. Where even then I think his job is safe.

I don't understand the batting orders and giving Leury Garcia so many at bats. I take it LG is an organizational favorite?

I still think the Sox take the Central. The good news is, even after a 7 game losing streak, the leader in the division is the Twins at a measly 8-8. KC looks about as bad as we thought they would, and I think Cleveland is overachieving a bit to start the year.

I'm extremely disappointed in the Tigers start, injuries have been horrible, especially to our starting rotation and losing Javy Baez for 10 was killer, but the lineup looked pretty darn good offensively and they've had a horribly slow start with the bats.

I believe you are correct.

Again, similar start last year and similar circumstances with injuries. Then they went 84-60 or something and cruised. I don't think anyone else can win this division unless the White Sox completely collapse, then you probably get a .500 rebuild team that sneaks in and could be quickly dispatched in the new format.

On a streak in time for Mr. Moncada to return.
It’s good to beat bad teams. I’m hoping the streak isn’t fools gold, as the Sox haven’t eclipsed four runs at any point during this streak—but the pitching has been damn impressive. YoYo hopefully can get into form and Vaughn can return fairly soon, even if he has to do a brief stint of rehab in AAA.

Boston may have a losing record now, but they have a roster who can win at anytime. To go in and sweep them in Boston is a huge momentum booster. Pen has looked much better. Kelly and Moncada back today, lets go.

4 games back in the loss column but had a nice day yesterday getting a double header sweep of the Yankees on the road. One game over .500

What happened to all of the walks from last year?

Nice thing is Sox play a brutal first half schedule where the twins play an easy schedule if they can maintain within 5 games of the twins at the all star break Sox should cruise in the second half once they have their entire team healthy.

I haven't like any of the lineups TLR has been rolling out there. I get it 79 is an all star, MVP and so on, but we also need runs, and until he can get out of his funk he needs to move down in the order. Also, move Vaughan up in the order, not the 9 spot. Thank god the starting pitching has been really good. Cueto for Cy Young campaign started yesterday.

I can't imagine a reality where this team is ever fully healthy. Seems like they get somebody back, just in time for another key component to hit the IR.

You mean like when Luis Robert gets put on the COVID IL randomly?

I’d be real careful if I was Yankee fan. If Cora find a way to playoffs then we’ll beat them

National laughingstock. Can't believe they hired TLR and will never get rid of him

The infrastucture brought them to this. Jerry Reinsdorf is the Chairman of the team and hired Tony LaRussa against what his VP (Ken Williams) and GM (Rick Hahn) wanted. Jerry loves Kenny and he's not going anywhere. They promoted him from GM to some Exec job they made up for him.

I don't understand why Rick Hahn is still GM. He has three college degrees and would have other opportunities in MLB or otherwise. It's entirely dysfunctional. When Jerry stepped on his head and forced the LaRussa (re)hire on him, it was enough for anyone else to quit and say "find another GM". I get that this was all his rebuild, but you have a chairman and Ken Williams lingering over you with a bad manager pushing 80 that you can't fire.

Not a job I'd want.

Sox need to seriously consider shopping Moncada you can't keep him on the team if he continues to struggle like he is.

25 games, 96 plate appearances. He's got two years left on his deal with an option for 2025.

What would they expect to get in return when everyone knows he's not doing well?

Package him with what? They have no minor league system. Everybody graduated to the Majors.

I'm not ready to throw away 27 year old Moncada. Throw away the manager and most of this coaching staff.

Moncada is 3-4 today. Swing looks WAY better and against fastball at that, and if you can't hit a fastball in the Majors, you're pretty much worthless.

The Tigers seem to be just what the doctor ordered for the Mighty Pale Hose. 3 games back in the loss column from Minnesota. LFG.

Hopefully this confidence at the plate with an unbelievably banged up team gets the a spark going forward. Moncada should never hit above 5, preferably 6/7. Vaughn at the 2, robert at 3, summer Abreu at 4. Thing of beauty when the sticks are clicking. TA up soon. Let’s go

You had me at “Summer Abreu.”

We should probably just let him continue to hibernate until Memorial Day.
