Word is that Kenny Williams is going to "make a decision" on Rick Hahn. Here's my prediction: Kenny fires Rick. Kenny hires Chris Getz as new GM. If LaRussa wants to keep this job, he'll have it because that's what JR wants, otherwise if LaRussa steps down Kenny and Getz hire Piezynski as manager to replace him. It's going to go from bad to worse.

This thing kind of sputtered last year when LaRussa publicly called out Yermin Mercedes. By then they had taken a pretty good lead in a bad division. They never really won any regular season series against anyone decent and got jettisoned out of the playoffs by a superior Houston team. If these guys don't want to play for him, so be it, but be professional and do your job.

Regardless, I think it's showing to be a very flawed roster. That's on Hahn. Be that as it may, the entire thing needs to go. Jerry, Kenny, Rick, Tony all out. Otherwise they'll make the playoffs every decade or so like they have been for my lifetime.

Here's what irritates me the most. If this were a normal franchise, heads would have rolled a while ago. You don't create a VP job for Kenny Williams, you fire him. You never hire LaRussa in the first place, but at this point, you fire him.

This entire regime needs to go. Jerry Reinsdorf gave the Bulls over to his son Michael and the turnaround was quick in a positive way. He needs to do the same with the White Sox. Goodbye Kenny, goodbye Rick, goodbye HoF Tony.

AJ Pierzynski is a White Sox hire if there ever was one. You know it's going to happen.

Why not hire a baseball guy from the Dodgers, Oakland, Tampa, etc? Let him hire a GM. Let the GM hire a manager. Embrace the fact that it is almost 2023.

At the time New Comiskey was built, its first row of upper deck seating was farther from home plate than the last row of seats in Old Comiskey.

I sat in the upper deck the year it opened or maybe it was the following year, so 91 or 92ish, and I was about 10 years old. I vividly remember feeling uneasy about walking down the stairs to our seats - no matter how careful I walked, it felt like I was falling forward. I couldn't see shit and thought for sure I would end up over the railing and onto the field. It was brutal.

The park is a lot better than what it was back then but it could have been so much better.

LaRussa should be done for good. He should never manage a game for the White Sox ever again. Fingers crossed.

Four games back in the loss column. Four games left with Cleveland. In a tie, there is non 163rd game and it goes head to head. Probably too little too late because they played with their food for four months, but a healthy team minus LaRussa next year with some tweaks should be able to win this division. There really are no excuses.

Some type of offseason conditioning needs examined, too. All these dudes were doughy and brittle this year.
