I honestly watch the Bears more on TV than going to the games in person...I have watched more soccer games than football games there like Jigga...

I grew up in Arlington Heights and live right there and my only reason for the stadium to be there is that I could ride my bike to the game lol.

I've been to one Bears regular season game in my life. I've seen more ND Football and soccer at Soldier Field than I have any Bears games.

I don't care where they go or where they play. I care a little more about how ineptly they're being run. The McCaskeys cant afford a stadium and should sell the team. Kevin Warren needs to be gone.

Drove past Hammond Thursday night. My 11 year old in the back seat: "What's that smell?"

Me: "A tax payer funded football stadium that won't be built."

They're going to be staying in Soldier Field until the lease is up, and will probably end up having to stay longer than that. Just an inept franchise when it comes to the business end of things.

be bold...how about a floating stadium on Lake Michigan? Kind of like the casinos.
Then you have to get the Coast Guard involved when they blow a lead in the last minute.

Illinois House Speaker Welch said last week there are talks happening but nothing completed yet with the Bears.

When a special session is called, the deal will be done.

Yup, nothing can be done officially without a session and a special session won't be called until everything is done behind the scenes. Then everyone can pat themselves on the back

I can't believe Indiana agreed to conspire with the Bears to get a better deal at AH. But that seems to be what happened.

When they announce the special session, it's a done deal.

I don't think that's what happened. Kevin Warren has no leverage with Indiana. He never has. Illinois knows it. They own the land in AH and don't have a site in Hammond or anywhere else. The Indiana state legislature basically agreed to give them tax breaks.

That's what this all boils down to. The Bears bought that land in AH and are sitting on it, paying taxes on it and have no shovels in the dirt yet.

In fairness to KW, the Indiana leverage play got him exactly what he needed -- a shot of bad pub on the Illinois state legislature which got the ball rolling again.

The Bears have not been engaged with the state legislature in conversations about getting something done. The Bears have been paying lobbyists and consultants to help him navigate the state legislature. KW has not been listening to them.
