Anyone know if the EA exclusive license has run out yet?

I yearn for the days of playing my NCAA 2K3. Those were back in the days of NCAA Gamebreaker, also, going head-to-head with EA. When EA was forced to actually, oh I don't know, update their product and add cutting-edge features (at the time) because they had competition.

That would be great. I also would like another college basketball game.

The best I can find is the exclusive deal ran out 4/11/11.
Can't find out if they renewed it.
The problem I see going forward is the exclusive deal between ESPN and EA sports.

I still play 2k8 often... in fact about a year or two ago the IE poster "Steve" saw me on playing 2k8 and laughed because it was so old... that was a year or two ago...

I know that people on Operation Sports do roster updates for EA's College Basketball 10 (most recent college basketball game). The only thing that stops me from buying it is that I rather not have to strain my eyes looking at the old Crisler floor.

The NCAA bball series has been horrendous. I made the mistake of buying it a few years ago, expecting NBA 2k-like mechanics. Not even close. The exclusive licenses are killing these games. Madden has done nothing of note in the past five years, same with NCAA. They have no incentive to actually make advances in their games. It's incredibly irritating.

You can change the floors (and any aspect of the arena) in that game... seriously.

Sweet news, uniform updates will be available either through online updates or downloadable content. It's about time. So they should have the Shamrock Series.

Saw that... like what I hear about recruiting and dynasty... also like that I can do all of that on my Vita browser... kind of like having the game... sort of.

I won't touch and EA title for anything over 30.

Have they ever said why they won't do an 80-85 man roster? I understand that adding 1,200 (80 man roster) or 1,800 (85 man roster) extra player slots is alot and is probably a decent reason, but have they actually said anything? In the grand scheme of how many players/recruits are already included taking up space, is 1,200+ extra really an issue?

They generally offer release date delivery on preorders for like 2 bucks man.
and I've never not had a release day delivery item from Amazon not arrive on release day.

not out for vita this year anyway and EA hasn't done much cross play to begin with so I was prob. getting it for XBox from the start... now... certainly

I would think that, as a graphic designer, you'd want to have the opportunity to build more stadiums. But I also think that as a corporation, you don't want to pay the graphic designers to do that work.

One would think that their counterparts working on FIFA 13 would have the design done/made more easily.

They never include the special game stadiums so I would highly doubt it... they have Solider field in Madden and I would bet they don't have it in NCAA...

Came home from work yesterday to find a 35 dollar Amazon gift card waiting in the mail box... so i went ahead and preordered it... looking forward to it.

I was thinking though, I expressed my dislike for current films in the summer comic book movie thread and I guess i understand how people can like crap movies like that... comic books are just their thing...

this game is basically crap and has been for years now... BUT... it's cfb... so I get it on release day every year... lol

The game play has been so outdated for so long that recruiting has been my thing for years too. I may just do avwhole separate dynasty from my xbox via my psvitas web browser where I only recruit and sim.
