Very good summary of most if not all CBs still on the board, or ones that were on the board at one time or another.

As the camp season approaches and prospects begin hitting the road for visits, IrishEyes.com takes a look at where Notre Dame stands in recruiting the 2013 class. This edition focuses on cornerbacks.

The camp season is about to hit, and Notre Dame will have plenty of visitors to campus in June and July.
So, where do things stand? On the offensive side, things are nearly finished with the 2013 recruiting class.

Of the 14 committed players, nine of them are on the offensive side, so there is little room left for anyone else, sans another receiver and a running back.

Notre Dame also has a pair of cornerbacks committed in Rashad Kinlaw and Devin Butler, but after Ronald Darby de-committed late in last year’s class and Tee Shepard left school after a month, the Irish still need to fills slots at cornerback.

With that, IrishEyes.com takes a look at the non-committed offered cornerback targets remaining on Notre Dame’s board:

Vernon Hargreaves III, 5-11, 185, Wharton High, Tampa
Notre Dame remains in the thick of it for the nation’s No. 1 cornerback. He has said he will visit Notre Dame, but one thing to watch is his father coached at Miami, and he grew up watching the program closely.

Cole Luke, 6-0, 165, Hamilton High, Chandler, Ariz.
Luke finished a visit to Notre Dame’s campus on Thursday and went straight to San Diego. The visit went well, and IrishEyes.com will have an in-depth interview after Cole has time to digest what took place. He has the Irish high on his list, and the visit enhanced Notre Dame’s chances.
However, there is a long way to go in this recruitment.

L.J. Moore, 6-1, 175, Central High east Campus, Fresno, Calif.
California’s Central Valley was not kind to the Irish in the 2012 class with Deontay Greenberry and Tee Shepard, but Notre Dame is back. He has an official visit set up for the Sept. 22 game against Michigan, but getting him out of California will be very hard.

Priest Willis, 6-2, 190, Marcos De Niza High, Tempe, Ariz.
The five-star Willis says is considering everyone and everywhere, but an early indication of a few schools with strong interest comes in knowing he set up official visits to Nebraska and LSU. He unofficially visited schools in the southwest and is hoping to make unofficial to the schools in Florida in July.

Kendall Fuller, 6-0, 185, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Olney, Md.
Fuller has long been thought of as a Virginia Tech heavy lean, and while he may not be a lock, one thing to consider is he is no longer considering the Irish.

Johnny Johnson, 5-10, 180, Central High East Campus, Fresno
Johnson is planning an official visit with Moore for the Michigan game, which is a very good sign. He said the only schools he knows will be in it until the end are USC, California and Stanford so like many players in that region, getting him out of state could be a chore.

Mackensie Alexander, 5-11, 185, Immokalee (Fla.) High
Notre Dame may wind up getting a visit out of Alexander, but at this point getting him out of the southeast will be an enormous chore.

Nadir Barnwell, 5-10, 180, Piscataway (N.J.) High
The Irish offered Barnwell in the spring but then fell off and didn’t stay in contact with

ND struggles getting CB's every year.

You would think with the lack of talent and depth they have at that position it would be more interest.

Not so fast..... If our young corners play well this year it will grab major attention across the country.... I believe as much as recruits look at depth and the opportunity to play they also look deep into who's coaching them and how well our current corners play..... If Atkinson and Brown step up i see a influx of interest from the nations top corners.... Kinlaw is already on board.... Question is who see's themselves playing opposite of him for years to come?

We need 2 other quality corners to jump on board this recruiting cycle.... IMO it will happen....

I believe we shift hardy over he's a fluid athlete and has the body of a corner anyway And your statement is very true but that is a very big IF I do believe Jackson will play very well this year and be a breakout player

I wouldn't say there is disinterest.

Last year we had: Shepard, Poole, and Wright very interested as well as Standifer. if things went are we we could any 3 of them right now IMO.

This year: Luke, Kinlaw, Butler, and Moore and some from Hargreaves & Alexander and most importantly IT'S JUNE not February

I pray nightly for Hargreaves. Hoping between BK and Jaylon, they can get their hooks into this kid. Hoping Butler and Kinlaw kick it this year and get their 4th star.

Whiskey dont see McDaniel saying at CB.

Where does he end up settling then? He's even less likely to see the field as a RB/ Z WR.

In any case, I try to put guys where they'll be playing next year. I don't see Baratti playing Star LB long term either, but that's where the staff has told him he'll start, so he's listed with the OLBs.

I think McDaniel is forever a nickel back, will never be able to be on an island as a solo CB. Still one of my favorites though.

So in terms of your spreadsheet I would say leave him at CB

I'm thinking Whiskey and Diet, but trying to talk myself into a Corona Lite. If I go Whiskey, some one is not going to be up early cutting the grass.

Uh oh. Someone drank almost all of the Crown Reserve. Now contemplating trip to the store, or settling on Kettle One and Cranberry. Corona Lite is just not going to get it done tonight.

The period flow a bit heavy this month?

Today, it's been real heavy. It's the only thing in the house besides Corona Lite. And Cranberry has antioxidents I'm telling myself. Leave me alone. I'm trying to put my skirt on.

It's cool. I ran out of whisky last night so am resorting to Natty Light until I get paid next week. I really need to stop underestimating how much of the sweet dark nectar I will drink over the week.

Don't drink often, but when I do..... LOL. Yep, whiskey is my fav, and I'm in awe there is only a few drops in the house. Not sure who hit it, but I'm not a happy camper right now. Thinking it's the neighbor's kid. Little f***er

After last year, I'm okay with getting a lot of cornerbacks. It seems like we have always had a lot of departures and decommits from cornerback, so you can't really count on all of them. I just hope we can snag Cole Luke and then contend with Hargreaves until the end. Most importantly, ALL OF THESE GUYS SIGN AND STAY!
