Um my comment was about performance of his 2022 LSU team vs our teams efforts this last season.
Our team? With concerns about our backup quarterback and depth at wide receiver? I think we did ok. You can look at the “preseason top 5”, but did you really believe we were? Last year was growing pains for a first year head coach. He deserves a mulligan. Were you calling for BKs head after 2016? If freeman underperforms this year, then you have clout. All you post is negativity about this team. Is there anything you feel positive about for them? If not, maybe you should root for a different team.

I just deal in facts not hysteria. Are you a female or a liberal? Just curious.

If it makes you weep less, let’s give Freeman a so-called Mulligan. He is a nice guy and takes Swarbrick’s meddling.

Yep, you didn’t answer the questions. You’re just a troll

The Athletic has obtained Kelly's words in his last meeting with his ND players:

"To Whom It May Concern:
This will be my last team meeting.
We have grown apart
over these last 11 years.
I now have
two loves in my life:
big-city livin' and
a voodoo woman named Phyllis.
Ciao, Brian."

ND has won 0 titles, and 0 BCS/NY6 bowl games since the year 2000

LSU has won 3 titles and 7 BCS/NY6 bowl games since the year 2000, and had one of the best college football
Teams of all time two years ago.

You just don’t get it. MF was dealt a royal flush, and BK was dealt a pair of threes.

A Royal flush? Hardly. Should he have done better? Absolutely. Should he be given the benefit of the doubt as well? Absolutely. It was his very first year being a head coach. All the level headed folks on here knew he was going to make mistakes, the team looked a lot better at the end of the year than the beginning. That’s what matters. Kelly was hardly given a bad hand last year. All 3 of his quarterbacks would have started for Notre Dame last year. Plus he had talent all over the roster, regardless of how many scholarship players were supposedly playing.

Ahh but who was the HC that didn’t go to the portal for another QB last season?? Mr. Mulligan … but he did learn his lesson.

Stuff the QB room and figure out who starts later. This is ND.

Your schtick is repetitive and disingenuous as fuck.

Since this is a free country and ignoring is for softies, let’s wager.

Notre Dame makes the playoffs this year, you fuck off. They don’t, I fuck off. As in leave the board.

Deal, Mr. Mulligan? Or are you prejudiced against Mexicans also?

Why? How stupid. This is a good board w great posters like you. I don’t want to wager against my team.

Sorry you are upset 😘

Freeman was definitely not given a Royal Flush to work with, Buchner hadn't started a football game since his sophomore year in High School, Pyne was dropped by a lot of schools because he did not reach his size potential that many expected him to. A new Defensive Coordinator, new DL coach, new LB coach, new/old OL coach, new WR coach, new TE coach, and an AD who hired the Offensive Coordinator before he hired the Head Coach. I have no doubt (no proof) that TR made the decision not to go to the portal to get a QB and Freeman had to live with that decision. MF does not get a free pass for losing to teams we should have dominated, but IMO he is not to blame for everything.

I still think it's hilarious Kelly beat LSU twice and wound up there because USC gave Lincoln Riley a house the size of Rhode Island.
Notre Dame had the better coach and better teams in both of those games.

That said, I still say that LSU was robbed out of that Music City Bowl game, which was ridiculously cold. We just happened to have Fournette who was unstoppable. Anthony Jennings, God bless him, was one of Miles' worst quarterbacks. How we challenged Alabama that year I'll never know,

But, at the end of the day, I still blame Les Miles and Orgeron (and Miles Boykin for making that ridiculous catch) for those games.

Not possible. LSU was then and is now in the SEC.

I respect the hell out of Auburn. I hate them, but I respect them. At the end of the day, they're a pretty damn solid program given the various impediments that they're faced with - i.e., faced with the University of Alabama in their state, the University of Georgia a up the road, a once great rivalry with Florida, annual games with LSU, etc.

In fact, in the past 40 seasons (basically since Pay Dye came to Auburn) they have more wins than LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Oregon, Wisconsin, Washington, and so on. I'm not even 40 years old, so that's my "cap" in terms of history. Anything past that, I simply do not care.

They have 30 8+ win seasons in that same span - the exact same as LSU.

Auburn has an arguable claim to the national championship in 83. Auburn also went undefeated twice, yet didn't win a title in
'93 and '04, something that is unfathomable in today's SEC.

All Auburn needs to win is a coach who can recruit Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Music City Bow: LSU -8.5

Citrus Bowl: LSU -3

Try again…..Vegas is (normally) pretty good at this determining who the better team is stuff.

Vegas bats a thousand? What was the line for the ND - Marshall or ND - Stanford games?

Both LSU teams didn’t have any quarterback play whatsoever. 2014 LSU was Miles’ worst or second worst team at LSU (again, we were robbed that game), and 2017 was Orgeron’s first year. That team also lost to Troy. Said another way, they weren’t that good.

Again, overall, Notre Dame had the two better teams those years. They were also, undoubtedly, the better coached and better prepared teams. Miles and Orgeron vs. BK? C’mon man. I have no problem admitting that.
