Anyone hiring BK other than a MAC team is just flat out stupid. He’s proven to not be a players coach. He’s proven to be out for number one only and be honest, clearly he’s not that good of a coach. If you can’t win with LSU‘s talent, the best thing that clown could do is take his 54 million and disappear
He is for a program that needs a CEO coach without great people skills (Ohio State, Oklahoma). I always thought LSU was an odd fit.

It wouldn't be that big a chance. He's a good coach if you're happy winning nine games and aren't in the market for elite recruits. Someone mentioned Sparty a few posts up. A mid-P4 program like that or NC State could do a lot worse.
Whoever hires him better spend even more on a GM b/c BK ain’t attracting talent, much less recruiting.

Nailed it. This MFer has no intention to coach again. “If the right situation comes about” GTFO.
Agreed. But he wants to still be in the limelight so he’ll be doing more of these podcasts/interviews and maybe land a studio gig. He’d probably do well in a studio environment. No tough direct questions and he can be engaging.

The Interview with Dvorak and Kanell sounded like he's quite interested in getting back into college football.

He was pretty clear that he's already scheduled to spend time in the spring with old football assistants prominent in current programs, to study how football is changing operationally due to NIL, Transfer Portal, extended scheduling, etc. and "get a temperature" for "things." All of that is the focus for the next three weeks or so, but he's thinking similarly about Fall camps as well.

It will be interesting to see if he would be willing to take a head coaching job at a "non-contending" program to build it, or take a bit less salary, since he doesn't need it, or (unlikely in my mind) an AD job.

I tend to agree that this is contractual cover. IIRC, he was looking for a “last deal” from Swarbrick, who wouldn’t give it to him, but LSU did. And one of the biggest criticisms of him at LSU was that he was barely there. Pair that with his behavior post firing (where he basically disappeared) contrasted against someone like James Franklin, who was on ESPN almost immediately after he got canned. Everyone knew Franklin wanted a job and he was in at a number of schools for their open positions. Doing a couple of interviews and visiting some schools once or twice a year seems like light work to make sure you get your $50 million.
