Stanford is overrated. We may be able to beat them, but this team is 2-4. I think 6-6 is the ceiling though. We have to play Stanford, Miami, VT, and USC. That's not even including Navy. Those are all toss-ups at this point.

The flip side of this is that at last Les Miles, Charlie Strong and Clay Helton (bleh) are available. I'd take Les over BK... and ND could even land him.

No point in firing him this season. They have nobody to replace him and it would destroy recruiting. As long as they get 6 wins and into some sort of bowl, it is likely you can salvage recruiting. If you fire him, this things goes straight to hell and it probably sets the program back an extra 2 years.

Just start your search now and hire someone in the offseason that will inspire confidence and has some sort of resume at a large school (no more small school coaches).
