BK's Busy Weekend

Kelly's changing the culture at ND. He knows how to appeal to 17-year old kids when tradition doesn't. Kelly and the administrators are smart and they will find a way to evolve without stepping on the toes (too much) of the traditionalists.

The stadium's getting a jumbotron.
We're going to have more night games if all goes well (i.e., doesn't cause trouble on campus).
Jerseys are going to be sweeet.

That's why Brian Kelly is the coach.

Don't listen to the mean man in the video, Damion. I think you're spot on!!!

is it just me... or do you sometimes wonder how any recruit that has the opportunity to spend 15-20 mins in a 1-on-1 with Kelly does not commit on the spot? I know that I would have... if I had the opportunity.

Always nice to pull it out in times of crisis like this. ;)

Hey HCTI, how about a little bathroom reading? I have the August 1983 issue of Wrestling World here. There's a terrific article about a wrestler named the Revolting Blob. Gee, you know somethin'? He kinda looks like someone I know.

BK is on his way to ESPN for the next couple days. He will be on CFBLive tonight at 8 and then I'd guess on the various shows throughout the day tomorrow. I know ESPN have had coaches in studio on the two most recent Saturdays, not sure if he will be there for that or not.

bhardin2 Brian Hardin

Updated Schedule:

He visited Keith Marshall in NC and Nelson Agholor in Florida.

He'll be on at the halftime of the USC/Cal game as well as CFL now.

Earlier today he visited Keith Marshall in North Carolina and someone (not sure yet who) in Florida.

Tomorrow
7:45 am ET on Mike & Mike in the Morning
9:40 am on SportsCenter. He'll also be on
Twitter chat at 9:10

He also will tape 7 other interviews - including Colin Cowherd radio show, podcast with Ivan Maisel, ESPN3 pregame and halftime for Saturday and more.

But Notre Dame is irrelevant remember? I believe even COLON COWTURD said it himself if I'm not mistaken. Bar none, Notre Dame is THE biggest coaching job on the planet.

In the words of Corso - "Not so fast my friend"

Texas, Florida, Bama, LSU might have a thing or two to say about that... I sincerely hope that we are winning a NC next year, but I currently would not put ND as the top coaching position out there now...

NDOM didn't say "top coaching position". He said the "biggest coaching job on the planet." None of those schools you listed recruit nationally, at least not like ND does, nor do they have the kind of national exposure that ND enjoys.

You could certainly argue that powerhouse programs located in recruiting hotbeds are more desirable coaching jobs, since those coaches don't have to work as hard on recruiting. But the head coach at Notre Dame probably has a higher profile than any other coach in the nation.

There's way more tradition and value at a place like Notre Dame though. Although Texas, Florida, Bama and Lsu are great coaching jobs.....there is no other that has higher standards than the head coaching job at the University of Notre Dame. Sorry. There's way more to it than meets the eye.

Boy did he do himself proud-great stuff and made a wonderful presentation of himself and Notre Dame. I dont care for the espn crowd but they couldnt shake him even with provoking remarks at first about Floyd and then you could tell he had them eating out of his hand. The one on one with Lou was tremendous. Nice going coach and way to make some of those other coaches they've had on look like stiffs!!.
