Bolded would NEVER happen.
Bob Stoops is a definite possibility. Pay more attention.
Chris Mortensen @mortreport
To repeat, Eagles and Kelly met after the BCS title game before he left for vacation out of country. @JayGlazer also reporting interest.

Honest question, are you on drugs?
WTF!? What do you call his national championship and more BCS games than any other schoolBob Stoops has lost his edge, if he had one.
No thank you, been there with Bob DavieI know ND probably isn't in the business of hiring first-time head coaches, but what about just promoting Diaco? I think if Diaco became head coach and the staff stayed in place there would be minimal turnover in the recruiting department and, although this move would be a major setback, it wouldn't necessarily mean death to the program.

“@SportsCenter: BREAKING: Sources: Eagles have interviewed Notre Dame's Brian Kelly for vacant head coach job & there is mutual interest" no
James Franklin, who thinks that ND is the seventh best team in the SEC, one team behind an 8-5 Vandy??
No Thanks.
I'd take David Shaw over that clown...not that Stanford would be foolish enough to let him get away.
And the idea that Kelly is doing this for MORE money is mindboggling.
IF he had been CONCENTRATING THE ENTIRE FREAKING TIME ON THE NCG, THEN ND MIGHT HAVE STOOD A CHANCE...and THEN he would DESERVE the raise.
SMDH
No, but I am severely TICKED OFF that BK would do this to the kids and the university.
At least O Leary WANTED the GODDAMN JOB enough that he was willing to lie on his resume.
BK doesn't want it enough to stay even after coaching in the NCG.
This. Hopefully just for leverage. For everyone who criticized the big deal Charlie Weiss this is why you do it. Big extension with a huge poison pill buyout.
Also, remember Les Miles interviewed with Arkansas... this is a common ploy for leverage.
