Eagles and Brian Kelly, well, that's another story.

Pompei knows what he's talking about.

James Franklin, who thinks that ND is the seventh best team in the SEC, one team behind an 8-5 Vandy??

No Thanks.

I'd take David Shaw over that clown...not that Stanford would be foolish enough to let him get away.

And the idea that Kelly is doing this for MORE money is mindboggling.

IF he had been CONCENTRATING THE ENTIRE FREAKING TIME ON THE NCG, THEN ND MIGHT HAVE STOOD A CHANCE...and THEN he would DESERVE the raise.

To repeat, Eagles and Kelly met after the BCS title game before he left for vacation out of country. @JayGlazer also reporting interest.

And there you have it.

I will lose it if Coach Kelly leaves. All these tough seasons and were finally coming back and hes interviewing for the NFL? Seriously? And after saying leaving wasnt an option this disgusts me. Wow.

Eagles and Bears. Probably leverage like lax said but I wouldn't blame the guy for taking the leap. Even if he stays, get ready for this circus every year.

I joked after the NC game that one silver lining to that blood bath was that whispers of Kelly to the NFL would be over. Well I was wrong about that.

Honest question, are you on drugs?

No, but I am severely TICKED OFF that BK would do this to the kids and the university.

At least O Leary WANTED the GODDAMN JOB enough that he was willing to lie on his resume.

BK doesn't want it enough to stay even after coaching in the NCG.

Well I guess now we know where his head has been and why the lack of any discernable game plan. Hes already had one foot out the door.

I know ND probably isn't in the business of hiring first-time head coaches, but what about just promoting Diaco? I think if Diaco became head coach and the staff stayed in place there would be minimal turnover in the recruiting department and, although this move would be a major setback, it wouldn't necessarily mean death to the program.

Better hope that Lovie Smith goes and knocks the socks off the Eagles in his interview tomorrow.

Just pisses me off that ND may be a stepping stone to another job...It shouldn't be that way.

I will give We_Are_ND credit for this anger b/c he texted it to me. But I fully agree.

Yep, but at least this explains the performance to a degree.

O'Leary lied on his resume for every job.

Notre Dame is one of the best jobs in the country. Now that people have seen that you can really win and get recruits in there, and that the facility and strength weaknesses are no more...there will be a line from South Bend to ****ing Mississippi full of coaches who want the job.

This. Hopefully just for leverage. For everyone who criticized the big deal Charlie Weiss this is why you do it. Big extension with a huge poison pill buyout.

Also, remember Les Miles interviewed with Arkansas... this is a common ploy for leverage.

I am sending this man after Kelly to bring his A S S back to the USA and torture the truth out of him. Then in 24 hours, we have all our answers.

Diaco is in over his head at DC, at the elite level. Have to pass as HC imo.

This is why Saban wins Nattys. No vacation time.

I don't normally post premium links, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
